Looking for premium extension!
Ok now I use this lil trick when i am doing a space station duty mission while overt and do not want to engage another SF player. This will also be epic to escape Bounty Hunters when they implement that in the upcoming space update.
Set up:
1. launch into space and go the the system you plan to do your duty missions in
2. hit 'H' as though you were going to hyperpace normally and select any system (it doesnt matter which system you select as we will be /escapepod yesbefore we hype) and click hyperspace to begin the sequence.
3. Now quickly type'/esc yes' to destroy your ship and return you to the closest space station
4. now pick up your duty or whatever you were planning to do in that system and have fun
This is where the trick comes in:
5.once you feel the need to quickly hype out of that system, press 'H' again and select the system in which you want to travel and click hyperspace
6. the hyperspace sequence will start like normal, however, since we aborted the last hype and did /escapepod yes, this is time you will not have to wait to hype to your destination and you will hype out before the countdown reaches 25%, escaping combat much faster

tested it on my Rebel pilot in his X-wing.
went up to Corellia Space, started calculation towars Kashyyyk Space, Avatar Platform. Did the escape pod at 25% calculation and respawned at corellia Space Station. Did some "sightseeing" in Corellia space and started hyperspace calculation to Naboo Space, Royal Way, a little bit later (~5 minutes). Calculations worked as usual - had to wait until 100%.
Did same procedure as described at a few more locations and it never worked for me. Either I miss something or doing something wrong. So far a /nay from my side.

it seems to me that destroying your ship would be a longer wait than just simply waiting for the normal hyperspace timer
