*** KRAYT HUNTING 101 *** : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

Krayt's are a key ressource for the SWG Universe. The Krayt's have 3 key loots that can increase your capability's weither your a crafter or a hunter. The pearls bring in solid revenues by being sold. The armor segments can lighten up the HAM for those advanced armor. The krayt tissue will make your weapons that much stronger. It is key to make friends with the different crafters to be able to sell your components easily.

For your first krayt hunt, you will want to set yourself up specificaly for this. Krayts do massive damage, have an extremely high ammount of resistance and hitpoints. Their main weakness is cold, wich is a type of damage that is rare in the universe.

What is key to defeating them is to outlast them. What you want to do is have a combo for melee where they barely damage you. Make sure to always have 80% Kinetic armor. Make sure you are fully buffed (Medical, As well as Dancer & Musician). Foods and Drinks that reduce your damage is good too. Spices are important in emergency's, I recommend spices that buff your HAM.

Now you will do very little damage to them. but if you have high defence u ca noutlast them.

Remember the surrounding spawn is your friend when it comes to Krayts. Krayts like to use Area Attacks, thus will aggro everything arround them. Run to the nearest spawn, let them fight the krayt too to help you! If the krayt switches targets to deal with the spawn (and it will), those are hits you dont need to take, thus permiting you to do free damage.

Know your terrain, know where you can run and where you cant. Heading towards civilization will most likely attract more hunters, and thats not good for you, it means a risk someone might steel your kill. Train them to a deserted from players area. Pass by all the spawn in the area on the way there so they fight the Krayt too.

Remember the key to fighting a krayt isnt high damage... its high defence. They WILL outlast you if you go for offence. Go for defence. Stack all the defence you can, and you too can solo even the Anciant ones.
