Merchant Scamming : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

Alright. Pretty easy setup, not really an exploit more of a scam...

What you need: A character with the ability to place a vendor who will be searchable via the bazaar. This works best during your server's prime time.

1. Place a small house somewhere out near your server's major city - Mos Eisley, Coronet, ETC.

2. Place a vendor in the house, in the farthest corner where it's harder to get to. Pile up crap in the way if you want, like large statues, so that it's hard for anybody to click the vendor.

3. Place something rather expensive on your vendor for real cheap - like a vet holo for 100k. Really, make it about 10% the usual value.

4. Set your house entrance fee to max (50k).

5. Go to your vendor, open up the vendor. Go to withdraw item but don't confirm yet.

5. Zoom in on your minimap, or just keep your overview up and wait for somebody to enter. When somebody (or some people) get close or into your house, QUICKLY withdraw the item. When they get there, they'll pay the 50k entrance fee. Just tell them... "Ah, I'm sorry man, somebody else just left with it."

6. Once they leave the house, put the item back up and wait.

It's not a huge moneymaker. It's only 50k per person, which is chump change to those of us who've been playing a while, but a newer player with a low level trader of some sort could make a nice starting fund to grind his or her way up with this.

Im going to say a normal nay to this, as most the time people report this and a CSR will be onto you quick.

You dont need to go to that trouble to get people to pay the 50k to get in.

Its pretty common and most people get reported quick, both blacklisted from trade forums and reported to CSR.

Finally there are much quicker ways to make money than sitting around all day for the possibility for 50k.

And I know most long time players don't need to make little bits of 50k here and there, I've got over 500m myself. But it might make a newer player a nice chunk of change.

I made an alt on another server recently, to try out the newbie station. I've made several hundred thou while up there, thats without selling loot/junk. .

The legacy will make each newb a millionaire. With or without Junk sales. Thats without Kash or Mustafar.

You can run 10k missions from a terminal for around 500k every hour.

There are lots of ways to make money easy. Whiich has inflated the economy something terrible.

Nay from myself then, I'm out of touch with the newbies... When I was new, 50k was a lot. This was years ago though.

Nay, a reputation on a trader is worth way more than 50k now and then.

Yah, i made my first 50k buying and selling at t profit from the bazaar. These days a mil is nothing. People are buying and selling in the 10s of millions.
