This trick only works for pilots that have formerly been Ace pilots. This trick will allow you to have an edge when grinding and doing quests. Once you've Aced pilot, and are ready to start another Pilot faction, talk to your recruiter and quit your Pilot profession. Do not deed any of your ships though, and leave any and all parts as they are.
Once you've quit your Pilot profession, pick up another. Unless you've Aced as another group, you'll want to stay within your same faction (IE if you were a Smuggler, you would want to pickup Smuggler again, or Corsec, or RSF).
As you level your pilot and achieve the skill to fly your old ships again, you have the opportunity to use the parts that are already loaded on the ship, even if you do not have the certificate to use those parts!
As an example, as an Ace Privateer pilot you could load any parts from Cert 1-10 into a Dunelizard. Once you quit your Pilot profession, pick another one up. After you acquire that early training box for your Dunelizard, you could have a ship with extremely good parts making even those tough Pilot groups incredibly easy.
As mentioned, this only works if you leave the parts in the ship and don't redeed the ship once you quit. Also, you must remain within the faction, unless you have Aced another one like Imperial and leave your old ships in your datapad as well.
