Junk Loot Grinding is now a LARGE part of Star Wars Galaxies since the Powerbits require Junk loot to make. You can sell stacks of these to traders for millions of credits or you can use them to craft your own powerbits to sell to other players. And you only need a few things in order to start reaping in the benefits of this! In this guide I will attempt to explain how to junk loot grind with both a medic and a commando.
1. Any type of Profession with a Area of Effect attack.
(Medic and Commando are the most efficient for this though)
2. The capability to come back to the keyboard roughly ever Hour and 15 min in order to clear your inventory
3. Some free time to kill!
There are many places across the game that could truly allow to grind junk loot, but the best place is outside the Dearic Starport on Talus. There are a few places inside of the city of Dearic that allow you to grind these junk pieces. Listed below are the waypoints in which your toon should stand. You may need to adjust yourself by 1 or 2 meters when you start due the very small change in location the static spawns have.
Location 1 = 201 -2861
Location 2 = 158 -3012
Location 3 = 466 -3101
Now, your standing at this spot and you see Cl2 NPCs called Chunker Nitwits! These will be your targets, but since you can do this AFk you dont actually need to Target them! In order to take these puppy's down though when you are AFK you are going to have to set up a few macros. Below will be the 3 macros listed. Copy them exactly or they will not work.
FIRST MACRO's NAME = areaofeffect
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
/pause 5;
/macro areaofeffect
SECOND MACRO'S NAME = targetloot
/tar corpse;
/pause 1;
/macro targetloot
THIRD MACRO'S NAME = blink
/emote blinks;
/pause 100;
/macro blink
Now that all your macros are set up you just have to do this. If you are a medic you will place your Nerve Gas on the FIRST slot of the toolbar. A commando would do likewise but he would put in a mine. Just start the macro's and you are ready to farm your junk loot!
Just remember to check back once an hour to clear your inventory of non-junk loot items!
This is a guide I wrote for guildies who aren't sure where to start for their junk loot for their suits. It'd be a joke to say that all this is common knowledge, when I have multiple people a day asking to forward this guide or to explain how to do it.
