Character finder for Daoc : Trash

Would also be nice to have an in game character finder for daoc, similar to what light tool of camelot had.

What, exactly, is a 'in game character finder'? Never heard of the Light Tool of Camelot so I have no reference to this.

It was a tool that changed/manipluated the protocol that daoc used and hence got a great many people banned.

What it did was take a character name, and look them up on the web for their stats.

With Wyvern's chat logger for daoc, you could write a script that would do something very similar (via targeting), or create a script that took an edit box input and then look up the player and return the results as text to the screen.

Yes. I believe the XML protocols to / from The Camelot Herald are public domain. It would be relatively easy to query that in the back end and place their public data on a screen by taking the currently targeted persons name.

Of course.... IT WOULD BE EASIER WITH A MULTI-LINE EDIT BOX! (OK, blatant plug for more features... could not resist)
