EQ2 not working with XUnleashed since today? : General & Trouble Shooting

I am having trouble getting XUnleashed to work with EQ2. The crafter bot was working yesterday, I logged in today and found that when I moved the mouse to the bottom of the windowed screen to pring up the EQ2Crafter program, it didnt popup.

I havent changed a thing (why would I), is there something I can do here?

Ok seems it was working, I logged off EQ2 and just tried it again and the same problem occurs, the crafter icons arn not appearing at the bottom of the screen.

I tried a reboot and still no luck.

At the moment I have the following options ticked:

windowed
force redraw
userandomfilenames
display logo
auto update plugins

Launch Path: H:\EQ2\EQ2.exe
DXFile Hook 1: EverQuest2.exe
DXFile Hook 2:

Never had trouble up until now, ideas?

All the DX hooks are dropping but the XU prog still running - happens during crafting - now also having a problem loggin in / updating XU also.

Is it an XU server instability? or should I wait on a patch before using again?

EQ2 was patched today - maybe they are snooping, but I got about 20 min the first run then restarted and got about the same out of the next run while crafting. I don't craft AFK - so I just picked up where crafter left off - i.e. the blue box poofs, and cannot mouseover the bar at bottom, but XU doesnt crash.

Oh - and XU launch error is 12029 same # when trying to update -

same problem here, xunleashed launches EQ2 but doesn't integrate any more. No menu popping at the bottom of the screen, no red square at the top left-hand corner showing it's integrated. (an I rebooted etc.etc.)

Edit: I turned off the alternate hooking and anti-detection options and it now works.

Would turning things like "alternate hooking" and "anti-detection" options change the way SoE can find out if we are using XUnleashed or not? I have no idea how they could find if we are using the program or not? I heard about them sending /tells and maybe moving your toon to see if he runs back to the crafting station etc ... but can they fix EQ2 to detect the program or not?

PS... I am not sure if this has ANYTHING to do with XUleashed.. but I have a KVM switch with two accounts... But just a bit ago when I was on my main computer with the account I am wanting to craft with XUnleashed. I sent a hello in guild chat but nothing showed up on my other character who is in the guild. I tried this twice and nothing in guild chat on the second computer which is a merchant character. The merchant character on the second computer has no problems in guild chat.

Why would this be, part of new patch/xunleash problem

Run a virus scan of your system immediatly!!!

I just found out that when you start up Xunleased and click Play, as one of the plugins auto update, it tries to run a virus. Symantec AntiVirus detects it as Backdoor.Graybird.

This only happens when you click the Play button, not before this point.

I deleted my XUnleashed dir. re-d/l'ed it, Installed 3 plugins (EQ2Crafter, EQ2Unleashed Map, EQ2Servicer). I am in the process of trying to figureout which one exactly does it. Will post in a few minutes.

If your icons aren't showing up at the bottom, try entering full-screen mode, and then going back into windowed mode (Alt-Enter). That has always worked for me.
