I'm at the point of beating my head on a wall. Seriously, ive got no clue about this. When certain things in game are rendered, different planes of texture freak out. I'm not sure a good way to describe this, ill post some SS when i get home, but I'll try and explain. Lets say im looking at a wall. it shoud go
from here to here.
well on my screen, it goes
from here to infinity. completly across the screen. but only when im looking at it. if i turn and the original point of origin goes out of my view, it dissapears. now imagine this with 5% of the textures in the game. and it gets stranger. If I alt+tab out of the game, and go back into it, or do anything to make it reload the textures, the screwed up ones all switch. sometimes it'll be a tree, sometimes a hill, sometimes a wall. completly random. Its also not just with this game. Happens with SWG, all the FPS i have(which is REALLY frustrating), and while BFME2 doesnt have this happen, the textures sometimes will be screwy, example- icon pixels being mixed up, text pixels being mixed up. not messed up, just litterally mixed up, kinda like one of those old slide puzzles.
but back to the problem at hand, I've noticed if I turn down the graphics settings all the way, it happens much less, but still enough to be a pain. I'm running a 7800gt, 2gb ram, amd 2.4ghz, and while i know i cant play with everything maxed, I shouldnt need to play at the bare minimum. I've updated all drivers, dx9.0c, windows updates, virus/SW scan, all to no avail. I'm going to buy a new GFX card soon, but this is I guess a last ditch attempt at finding a possible solution/fix.
anyone got anything for me?

wow that really sucks. try calling your current video card manufacturer and ask about it, or call the video game company and see if they have anything useful to offer. its worth a shot.

try downloading the latest drivers, if that doesn't work try to reinstall.
if that still doesn't work, send a mail to the company's tech support.

It's your video card/graphic card. It happened to me and when I went to go play a game, everything was distorted then my computer shut down and wouldn't start up again.
Short Answer: Buy a new graphic/video card.

This used to happen with mine, but mine was also overclocked. You might try to make sure that your video card isn't overheating, or as outbreaksnors said, get the newest drivers.
