Beta 4 : Vanguard News

So today vanguard enters beta 4, one step closer to release. The pre-order boxes contain a beta key for beta 5, which should be in a month or so. Beta 4 is supposed to also have a PvP server, so that will be friggin sweet. Anyways, that is all for now.

it will be interesting to see what happens...the release date is set for Jan 29 and they seem committed to meeting that. However, I'm in beta and would be surprised if that date holds true.
I pre-ordered the game 2 days ago and I'm curious as to how they are going to work the 'early access' to the game before launch part of the deal.

yea i doubt it will launch in jan... but we will see. As far as the early access, it will prolly be only if you recieve your disk or posibily downloadable starting like 5 days early so you have a couple days to dload it. Those are my guesses.

at it's current size we'll need 5 days to dload it!! I just don't see how they will handle thins on the retail side of it. Will they ship early the amount of pre-orders a store has? I think this makes the most sense as trying to track me down through EB Games and provide me with some sort of pass to dload it early seems inefficient. It will be interesting to see what happens, and more interesting to see if Jan 29 holds as actual release. I'm begining to bet that it does hold.

they compressed it down from 21 gigs to 17, so that will help a little. And the point of pre-orders is to know how many boxes they need to ship, so yes i would imagine that they will ship them to all the pre-orders, since 90% of those pre-orders will mean a purchase of the retail full version.

that's pretty much what I thought...but knowing my luck, they'll be some sort of logistics problem with shipping or something and my 'pre-order' will arrive the same day as launch.

just a side note...with the majority of the classes still needing to go through their "revamps"...that end of Jan launch is looking awfully optimistic.
