VG - Embrace the Race II, Flamehammer serverwide event : Vanguard News

On Sunday, April 15th at 3pm PST, Channel Two News Team will host its second installment of Embrace the Race!

The first race served as the guild's "trial run" to see if these are worth doing in terms of attendance from players on Flamehammer. If you were there, you know that it was a great success! So, as we said, we'll be doing them monthly! Strap on those Nikes again, refill that water bottle, because this month the race is even more tumultuous!

Who: Channel Two News Team (prizes donated by The Trading Post and Hoffax)

What: Embrace the Race II

When: Sunday, April 15th at 3pm PST

Where: All contestants will make a new, level 1, Dark Elf. The race will begin at the newbie area.

Why: To break up the grind! Put down your weapon, step away from the crafting table, and stop playing cards. Have 1 hour ever month dedicated to the fun of racing!

The Rules
------------
-Only level 1 characters permitted
-No speed enhancement buffs are allowed
-In the event of a false start, the race will reset. In the event of a constant false starter, that player will be disqualified
-Races will begin by a judge counting to 3
-All race requirements must be met in order for you to win!

The Races
------------
Race 1:

-All contestants will make a new, level 1, Dark Elf character (this time contestants will bleed blue blood!). The race will begin at the newbie area.

-Once the judge counts to three, make your way to the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat. There will be a Channel Two News Team judge waiting for you there to Hail him. Once you Hail him, make your way to the finish line at Khal.

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places!

Race 2:

-Once at Khal, one of our judges will magically disappear and be lost inside the ever-confusing city of Khal! No!

-Make your way inside the city and try your best to be the first to discover our missing member!

There will be a grand prize for the first person to Hail the missing CTNT member!

3rd: +20 mount speed horseshoe

Grand prize: +35 mount speed horseshoe
