I just bought the program and are rly confused, from my understanding this was a userfriendly for everyone did not think i needed the scripting knowledge to get this up and running. And yes am a total newbie in the write u r own script area.

By reading the forum up and down only confused me more...was looking in the finalscript area and there was no script for a rogue wich is the class i play..i guess i might have overstepped my bounderys when it comes to running this kind of bot or is there a step by step manual that can make me go forward or should i just wait for a "easy for everyone" macro to be released

Sorry to see that you're having trouble with VGExtreme. VGExtreme is a Macroing program and like all other Macroing programs, programming knowledge is needed to some degree. If you're interested in learning I'd pick up some reference programming manuals or guides. The dummy books might help you some, so would some programming primer books. Sorry there's nothing else I can really tell you.

not every class has a script made, someone is making a basic script for all classes but since it is basic for all it will not work perfectly. it will just run and do some stuff but will not do as well as a class specific script. All the scripts that are made are very simple to fix up so they work, usually they have a few variables you have to change so it will do exactly what you want and it says in the script itself where to edit and how to edit so you cant mess that up.

as for a "easy for everyone" script no matter how well made there will be quite a few who cant get it to work so a easy for everyone sorta thing would be impossible. for example in maplestory before to hack the game you had to have some sort of skill for understanding stuff, had to go into the memory and edit a value to a certain value when it was the correct time and tons of people needed help. now the entire process has been shortened to just check a box and the hack is done, no more needing to edit values, its all automated and guess what people still need help on that.

That is one option - wait for someone to write a script for you, the other option is to download, say the paladain bot, and look at the script. Normally people write lots of comments in the file (instructions) and if you examine some things carefully, you may be able to change some things in the file to make yourself a rudimentary rogue bot. Instead of the command saying "Use skill paladain bash" you might change it to "use skill rogue stab".

Good Luck.

yeah there isnt a one bot does it all kinda deal and they all require some sort of changes to the code. If you need a bot in particular for one of the classes that is not out yet, ask for it in the requests section.

rogue is also just a difficult class to program for. there's certain moves that require you to be behind the target, some that require you to be in stealth, some that require you to be out of combat, and some that require you to have met combinations of these conditions.

after you get smoke trick it'd be easier to setup, but i can see that a good robust rogue bot that works through all levels will take some considerable effort, at least i would think so.

i'm not much of a programmer either hehe.

Basicly you have two choices: Make your own bot from the framework that VGextreme gives you, or wait until someone else makes something user-friendly that is simple enough for you to use. That will be created eventually (and is out to some degrees, for some classes)

VGE in itself is just a tool to help run efficient scripts, and will in and of itself not do anything.

Given that Vanguard is still a new game, it is to be expected that there arent a ton of user-friendly ready-to-go scrips availiable yet, but there will be eventually.

None of these issues are very hard to program around, but yes, it does require a bit more finesse than skilsl that ust require you to push a button :)
