I need advice on getting money for a mount. : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Hi im lvl 30 night elf hunter, and i am starting to worry....if i will have enough money at 40 to buy a mount, what methods should i use to get enough money for a mount?

go to badlands, wiht a party until ur level 38 or so...kill stone elementals on the southern map edge. They give u about 250xp each up to lvl 40, and the rocks they drop are worth quite a bit. I didn't start saving for my mount till lvl 39, and in the time from 39 to 40 i had saved like 60g....borrowed the rest.

How much gold do you have now? I would suggest becoming good at a tradeskill and sell your creations at the auction house.

Um yah, professions are useless. If you CHOOSE to listen to that advice, I would advise you to go Either Mining/Herbalism/Leatherworking and Enchanting. Not to enchant, but to DIS enchant all the green !@#$%^&* drops you get from doing WC, RFK, RFC, SFK etc....disenchant them as the mats will sell for far more than the actual items. And as far as crafting...pfft...no real money in crafting until you hit lvl 300 in it. So that is gibberish. Like I said, find a mob that is 1-3 levels higher than you, and solo them. The rock elementals are the best because the vendor fodder they drop, which they drop EVERY kill, is worth from 20s to 90s per stack...you will make 10 gold minimum per hour if you can stay alive.

I did not get my mount until I hit level 46, actually not everyone gets a mount once they hit 40 and it is not a required thing to get. But probably the best way to make a decent size of gold is to not buy anything off the Auction House but only sell to the Auction House.

1. Just do a check of mobs that are in your level that drop items that sell for a decent amount on your server, I am not talking about epic, blue, or green item drops but mostly crafting supplies. Most high level people are lazy and get gold a lot easier so they have no problem buying these low level crafting items for a high price from you.

2. Killing Humanoids while leveling and farming and you will get decent drops and gold at the same time.

3. You might have one gathering profession and a crafting one, if you want gold stay away from the crafting one for now and get rid of it. Pick up Mining and Herbalism or Leatherworking and sell all of that to the AH.

Combine all 3 and you will have more gold than you need by the time you hit 40.

Dude dont worry bout money at lv 30. I started grinding scarlet monastery at lvl 37 and when lvl 40 had 160g just take ur time with lvl 35-40 and when u are lvl 40 u will be rich
