Is it possible to run 2 instances of EQ2 on one computer? Sure, it is, but can you run also 2 bots simultaneously ?

Actually you could run 2 bots simultaniously keeping both open but one behind the other BUT not with XU bots because they send their data (key strokes) to the currently active window, which is a real shame. I have written programs for other games that I run behind my eq2 window and they work just fine.

This is just the post i was looking for
But anyways, have anyone written or in the progress of developing a program for EQ2 that would allow 2 bots to run on the same computer.

we had a member who had developed the tools to send input directly to the game (which would allow botting a window that didn't have focus), but I haven't heard about any progress on the front lately.

The other option is to get another screen, have an extended desktop and have both open at the same time, 1 on each screen

Resize your EQ windows to fit half the screen, Sometimes when im 2 boxing a healer I dont need the full screen so I resize the window so I could only see the spell bar, takes up less resourses of your computer also.

Has anyone tried this?
The sales desk tells me that when you mouseover from left to right the keyboard switches as well. So essentially you have two accounts on one keyboard with no Alt-tab'n.
Dunno if it works tho.
I buddy was telling me he saw a screenshot with 5 screen images of EQ2 on it, but have yet to locate it.
Anybody have any info?

Quote from the link:
(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))): as it eliminates the need to minimize and maximize application windows when working with multiple applications at any one time
It still requires an "active" window. You can have as many of whatever on your screen as you want but only one of those windows is going to be the active one. This product just gives you a more manageable space to display on.

I agree that Only one is active at a time, but the only issue I have with 2 box on one machine is the Alt Tab delay and bugs I get with screen distortion etc.
It takes a few seconds to switch over and that delay is usually what gets me killed.
What I need is something that allows me to togle seemlessly between toons. But my concern with this is it may not be compatable and you have to buy thier card. Their card might not run EQ2 very well.

There may be a way... Imagine a dual monitor setup... with two windowed EQ2's (one on each screen)
I'd hate to have to pay for the hardware that can support it and runn smoothly, but I can see it working...
Might have to code the bots a bit differently to cooperate with each other to activeate the right window - or - better yet, one bot that can control both equally. (but I can see that being scary...)

Having 2 monitors with 1 EQ2 screen on each is exactly the same as having 2 EQ2 screens in windowed mode on 1 monitor. Did that make sense, lol? Anyways, Xunleashed is not able to switch between 2 windows, afaik, so only 1 bot is able to run on 1 computer.
