Betraying Your Home City
Not liking the denizens or the scenery where your level 17-or less character makes his home? Have friends calling you to join them on the other side of Norrath? This guide has what you need to know to make it happen! (NOTE: spoilers below!)

But first, keep the following in mind:

The betrayal quests are somewhat difficult and extremely long. For example, you will lose a shard which you cannot recover for 3 days, and its possible end up oweing 5 gold to continue the quest if you're not careful! Make sure you have a good reason for betraying before you do so, because it's a one-way street; there's no going back once you begin.
Gather everything in your inn room and relinquish your inn-room before you begin. If you forget to do so, it's still possible to sneak back into your ex-city via the sewers, but when you arrive in your former "village" zone you'll have to dodge the roaming guards.
For several of the quest steps, you'll need help from the inhabitants in the city you're heading to. Don't have friends in your new home? Seriously consider creating an alternate character in the desired city instead of betraying. You'll likely end up with more bang for your playing time, and the friends you make can help to migrate your original character later on if you like.
You must begin the betrayal quest before you hit level 18. It's possible to begin the quest at level 10, but you likely won't get very far with having to solo lvl 15-16 mobs (the third step of either betrayal quest).
You won't be able to level past 17 until the quest is completed, subsequently if you begin the quest at 17, you'll likely hit the 220% experience cap early on and will be wasting a lot of experience. Therefore, its best to begin the quest around level 15.
You will not have bank or wholesaler priviledges until you complete the quest, once its begun.
Still a prospective traitor? Let's move on...

A: you posted in the wrong subcategory: this is in no way crafting related-
B: http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/Freepo ... trayal.php
http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/Qeynos ... trayal.php

no disrespect, and this is just my opinion, which is of little consequence in the grand scheme of things, but these 2 quests are not only well documented elsewhere, but in much greater detail. Alakazhams, ogaming, etc. etc- all the 'big' MMO database sites have writeups on these. However, theres technicaly not a guide here for this topic, so it may qualify- it just seems to me that quest writeups for 1 (or2) specific quests which, if you know where the quest starter can be found, are fairly straighforward in terms of simply following the journal, isn't really a guide. Not trying to be an ass- just think you missed the concept regarding what qualifies as a guide-
