"As we prepare for the launch of EverQuest II next week, I wanted to make our UK players aware of our plans regarding server selection.
Instead of separating players by geographical location, our servers will indicate which language the game runs in on that server. Rather than designating a UK server, our UK subscribers will play alongside other subscribers on their choice of English-language servers. We will also have French-language and German-language servers available for subscribers who choose to play in those languages when the game launches in Europe.
We feel this approach will best serve to build a strong community for all our players. Similarly, we will no longer have separate UK message boards, but instead UK players will participate in the English-language forums along with other speakers of the language.
Thanks for helping create a solid foundation for the EverQuest II community. We look forward to seeing you in game next week! ============================ Moorgard EQII Community Guy"
