I don't know.. I'm becomming really skeptical. I bought a yearly subscription, but right now, I feel like a guy who paid for a subscription for some hot Seka porn on the Spice Channel, but "Cooking With Martha Stewart" to appeared on the screen. That guy, who is squinting at the screen going, "WTF did I just pay for?" that's me right now. I'll give it some time, but I might as well ask now if this site gives refunds or not. Just like the merger, I'm not going to hold my breath.

I think that the answer to that, pharce, is going to be a firm 'no'.
The strange thing about it all is, given the nature of this site (ie: lots of people who like to take computer software apart and put it back together again - many of us for a living), it's amazing that the admin hasn't asked for ANY community help.
My advice to admin would be to accept resumes from members of the site. As compensation, one of the iPod shuffles would likely evoke a good amount of response. A larger reward (ie: monetary compensation, computer equipment, etc) would certainly pique my interest.
After reviewing the resumes of the various candidates, admin could take his pick of the litter. I guarantee that there are members of this site who have a good chunk of experience with both php AND databases. He could probably even find a candidate with phpBB experience in addition to the above knowledge.
*shrug* It's not my site, it's not my problem. I would love to help, but given the lack of interest in receiving support demonstrated thus far by admin, again - I'm not holding my breath.

Let me clear some things up. Tault.com is powered by amember specialized customer management system. Admin hired the creator of it to create a few scripts to do the merger, only condition was cash up front. That wasnt an issue because it was $80. Unfortunately for the creator of amember: it was alot more work than he thought it would be and has delayed and delayed over 60 times now! Probably all because he has more profitable and simpler projects to work on so he put this on the back burner and everyday the admins get an email with "today it will be done 100% promise this time" and still nada

is amember specialized customer management system a business?? If so, then i think admin needs to put a lot of pressure on this company or whatever it is. First they have money upfront. second that is not good business to push off projects because there are easier ones or ones that make more money. Admin needs to put a deadline on them. If they dont get that deadline, then get your money back. hire someone else. this management system will learn eventually not to burn bridges. theres a lot of computer savvy people in the world who have worked on them for a long time, probably a lot here. im sure they would do it for $80 and probably some would do it just to get the merger thru!
