Did you all notice a drop decrease of rare harvests too? Now i get a Rare, mhhh, lets say every 2000-3000 harvests. I believe the drop rate is cut into a half.

You've just had bad luck. In the last 3 days I harvested 7 Rares and 18 Uncommons all T4. Think my total harvests was around 3000.

Now guess what. I harvested another 5000 things and didn`t even get one rare in T5. Either the Zone is screwed up or i am. Thats becoming very very odd.

I harvested 36,000 times non-stop this past weekend and got 2 rares come Monday I got 5 rares in 9 hours (2 ebons). Total rares all last week 16, total rares the weekend prior to last week 4..... Personally I think the rare count drops during the weekend when thye know more people will be on. OH and those number count for me harvesting right after server up every morning last week however 95% of all rares found last week were found after zones had been up for 9hours +/- and I had the nodes I was harvesting to myself for a majority of the day.

There is something true in your opinion!
I harvested about 1000times today and got 2 rares! Ebon and Rhodium while only getting 2cedar over the whole weekend.
I think you are very right with finding most of the rares after about 9hours of the servers being up.
I badly would like to know how the rare harvests are calculated. Somewhere in this forum there is the idea that you get a chance for a rare every single harvest. The chance is like 1/1000 then. The chance should be the same for all rare then.
But this doesn`t fit with your idea.
Any conclusions?

Yeah I know, something is amis.... Over the next few weeks I will continue to post my results. As it stands though (from my personal experience) rares are much more obtainable during the week. Figwart roots being the most common rare followed by Cedar then Petls then Rhodium cluster with Ruby and Ebon being tied for the most rare "rare" I have obtained. This is what I have observed.

well i found 5 or 6 ebon and only one figwart, so i guess thats completly random. I tend to believe in the "1:1000" chance per node, as it's the easiest to code. Of course you'll find more rares during the week. 5 days compared to 2 days weekend

It is a well known secret (confirmed not only by myself, but others whom I know personaly, as well as having read others posts confirming my anecdotal evidence) that you have a significantly higher chance of harvesting a rare right after a server is rebooted. IF you and others are having experiences that contradict these reports, then it may well be possible that the coders sliped in some new code that counters what I would assume was an unintentional bug: statisticly speaking there should be no relationship between how recently a sever was rebooted and the odds of harvesting a rare. If the devs indeed confirmed that this was happening, they may have fixed it. The fact that your finding rares at a fairly predictable time after a reboot indicates (to me) that rather than tracking down the source of the anomoly, they just threw in some code to make it impossible to harvest a rare durring the first several hours, until whatever part of the RNG that was acting in a non random manner normalized (in other words, it may take several hours for the RNG to begin producing 'real' random numbers, so they don't allow you to harvest a rare until this happens). This is all pure speculation, of course, on my part. Take it as such.

Yesterday after patch thru this morning I had found 8 rares (5 figwart roots, 1 cedar, 1 ruby and 1 ebon). 13137 total harvests.

@loraik
Running accounts? or how do manage to get that much harvests? haha
But that fits to my results. After the patch and server up i harvested arround 2500 times und found 2 rhodium. Sums up 1250times for each rare. At the weekend i harvested around 4000 times for one rare. Seems like the chance to harvest a rare at the weekend is cut into 1/3 in comparison to harvesting monday to friday.

Yesterday I was running 3 machines, "averaged" around 3900 harvests each +/- with one pulling down a better ratio in Feerrott (this one I have about 6 hours in tweaking to account for tents, bridges, ect). I just added them all together. I also had down time on 1 machine that I didn't clean out the inventory in time so my total would have been higher.
Watcher says he can get 5-6 harvests per min in whatever zone he harvests in but I at the absolute best can only get 4-5 per min. in a T5 zone.
Hehe I delete most stuff I get except when I need materials to craft with. I figure the 1-3s each profit isn't worth the competition in the crafting market and I don't want to supply my competitiors with stuff.
