hey, for the goblin gamblin thing, would there be a way to force your lotto numbers? to make it like the jack pot or anything that would give people better advantages? or anything at all? =]

what do you think? seriously, devs make mistakes, but they weren't born yesterday...
Oh, and moving to the propper catgory- since this has nothing to do with 'EQ2 Macro, Script, and Program Discussion'

On another note, i was reading a article yesterday and found out that theres something like a 0.000057% chance to get the jackpot, or 1 in 1.9 million chance.
I'm willing to bet that the devs will mess with the chances in a few weeks/months so someone can actually win the jackpot.
Whats the jackpot right now for your server? Lucan D'Lere is on about 27plat so far.

...yeah, but why would you wanna do that?
1 plat is 10,000 silver, so you'll get 1000 clicks out of it. Chances tells me that you WILL loose the 1 plat.

you will NOT win any money, you will loose it. You understand what lotto is all about, right?

the Displayed numbers on the jackpot can be changed to match your ticket using hexdec editor.
But thats just the display. it doest change the Actual value given to you from the server.
Whenever you purchase a ticket. The numbers have already been assigned. You can see the actual number in memory even b4 the rolling gets done. The rolling of the jackpot is only graphical and make for nice effect.

While you'll lose over time ("as N tends towards infinity")^, but it's certainly possible to win, and walk away. Happens in Vegas, even.
The problem is, of course, someone wins, walks away and then comes back later, and gives back what they won, and then some. I was up about 3g the first day, and stopped. And then yesterday, I blew 4g. *lol*
In theory, you could macro it to buy tickets until you were "up" a certain amount, or had lost all your money. But I think half the fun is watching those goofy reels animate!
^Note that with video poker, perfect play, and favorable payoff tables, it's possible to win over time. However, we're talking VP, not lotto, and over time being hundreds of hours of play.

Plus there is no gaming comission that says they have to follow any proper rules....this game is absurdely rigged and the most I have spent so far is 30s. They can definitely program it so that it only hands out a certain amount of money at certain time. Oh, and I love how they said it was 'bug' when it was reseting the daily winnings. Yeah, right. I gota bridge you might want to buy too....
