I stumbled on this tonight. It needs more testing to make sure I am not just punchy from a long day at work. I was moving stuff around on one o my characters and in the process I tried to swap a 14 slot back pack full of paper with an empty container being stored in a container. The swap went through and for a moment I gulped, thinking my paper had been destroyed, however when I swapped them back the paper was still there.

This could be very useful for storage.

Give it a try and see if it works for you.

In case it matters.

14 Slot bag was on my person. 16 Slot strong box was in a 16 slot box in the bank. After the swap my 14 full of paper was in the 16 slot box, unopenable of course, and the 16 I swaped it with was on my person.

Good luck

No, it will not let you move the full bag that is being stored at all. You can only swap it back and forth.

After testing this I actually got my hopes up that maybe it was intended. However, more testing shows it is clearly a bug. The items that are stored in your bank are connected to you no matter where you go. So for instance you can broker things in your bank in addition to what is on you. You can also walk up to a merchant and sell something from one of your storage boxes in the bank.

Whoa... really? How do you broker items from your bank? Would make my life so much easier since I have to swap my goods back and forth between inventory and the bank to make room for everything :(

You dont seem to have a choice. If you have things in the bank that are bagged in a bag, they show up on your sell list for merchants and brokers. You just have to price them and your done. And I did check for exploit factor on being able to sell. It removes the item from your bank bag.

hehe also be careful i was tired the other night and put a bag full of bags inside another bag... couldn't get them out again... got all buggy... however when i zoned everything showed up in overflow so i was able to get it all back again...also didn't realize this before but you can right click containers and label them... so perhaps this isn't a bug perhaps its meant to make selling for crafters more friendly... you can stash a full bag of goods and label it and sell it

who knows but i hope if it is a bug its low on list of priorities to fix

Only way I could get this to work was to drop the bag I wanted in another bag onto the auto-bank area. I couldn't directly place it in anothe bag's emply slot or drop it onto a bag.

you can't drop it into an empty slot.. you have to trrade it out with another bag/box inside of another bag/box...

i.e. lets say you have a bag of 20 slot boxs in the bank all are empty... you have a 20 slot box in your inv thats full... drag it over and drop it on to one of the empty boxes inside a bag in your bank and it will swap out... you can now right click and label the box.. so you know whats in it... this can also be done in your own inventory doesn't have to be done with storage in bank

works slick

Nerfed as of this morning. Though everything you have already stored that way remains.

This still works. Been doing it all morning testing some other stuff (namely tradeskilling with items from bank.. will start new thread on that.)

To put bags inside bags, the first Bag is in the bank, open slots of course. Then drop the full bag on your AUTOBANK.

You may or may not be able to sell from these (seems very unpredictable)

I use this primarily for storing crafting supplies.. I lable all my bags as either t3 t4 etc, and my adventuring bags. Since you can't open any bags that are inside of bags, its an easy way to sort through what you need.

For Selling in Trader mode, I have one bag that I store all my bags with crap to sell.. I just grab that one bag, and go into trader mode.

Tiny, thanks so much for pointing this out. I never even thought of trying auto bank.

Now if we could just figure how to make those items available 100% of the time it would be great. Let me know if you figure anything out.

It either works on Auto-Bank or New feature "Drop items here to add to inventory" in Inventory window.

Be reminded that these auto bank / inventory feature is currently buggy. If you try to put one of your bag in bank to auto bank, or bag in inventory to auto inventory, it MAY or MAY NOT bug and disappear. You will need to call GM for help in this case.

I suggest not to use this feature coz it's kinda unsafe.

I have always made sure there is a spot for my bag to go in my bank using Auto Inventory. I have not had one problem with it yet.

I use it mainly to store harvest items and subcomponents.. Rares are stored normally

For a while there was a problem with auto-bank where the items weren't showing up.. Camping corrected those issues, but haven't seen that in 6+ weeks
