I ran by this last night and never knew that It could be done.
Lore and Legend books that are picked up in the game will both scribe you a quest (if you have not done it) and are placeable in your room.
Rewards:
The trophy, the finished book, the picked up book.
Here is what I did.
Did this with the Cyclops book.
Picked up the book to have it in my inventory.
Scribed the quest
Placed the book in my room
Deleted the quest
Went back to the spot where I picked up the book, got another book
Repete again and again...
Hmm, can you vendor or broker those books or are they NO-VALUE / NO-TRADE?

the books are sellable or tradeable. They also don't reduce any status or nothin. So filling your house with em would be damn useless.

The books are lore also i believe, so trying to place 2 of the same one in your house won't work anyhow. I had one palced in my house, completed the quest, received another book and was unable to place it.
yeah, this was fixed a while back, like the books you could pick up in the mage tower in south qeynos, you used to be able to put as many as you want, but now it wont let you have more than 1 lore items in a house
I can still obtain and place L&L books as often as I want in my room...just can't have more than one in inventory at a time.
But as mentioned before there's absolutely no constructive reason for wanting to place lots of L&L books in one's room...especially since the number of placable items in a room is limited. If they gave status reduction or even had an interesting effect that's one thing...but they just lie there taking up space.
I don't know if other books are the same way (as cited with the mage tower books) but the L&Ls are definately possible to place multiple versions of the same book in the inn room.

Not worth premium in my opinion. Closing submission.
