ifrit is harder to mine as it is multi level so you cant pos around as easily. also bst's xp in a spot where 3 of the points are and most every other place people are passing by so the chances of getting caught are much higher
do what I use to do (before I got bored with mining there) -- use those exping bst to your advantage. As a whm I would follow a bst friend around and keep them healed + buffed from outside their party. They benifit from your magic -- you from them clearing the bombs, scorps, raptors or anything else that may want to eat you.
Now if the bst also mine -- you are out of luck
As a bst or smn, you can mine their pretty easily without dieing. Only problem for other jobs is you will need oils / powders to run around. if you don't make enough mining to cover those costs, its a waste of your time
