Been debating between PLD/WAR and THF/NIN i like tanking and the cool armor but i also like the idea of dual wielding dishing out serious dmg and getting gil easier so just wondering what your favorite is and why thx for your opinon ':p'

u will get a pt much easier with pld/war. as they usually need a tank more than a thf.

I hope youre not serrious....

back to the question at hand.
Its all based on personal playing style, if you want to defend and take damage that would otherwise cut a taru whm in half then become a pld

If you want to be a more mobile, dynamic player then go with thf/nin. Though if youre really looking for a damage dealer go with rng/war or rng/nin or do what most up and coming DDs do and get drk. The quest is super easy and its really easy to play as one

as for party invites, I've played both of these job/subjobs and there is a bit of a misconception: Plds dont get invites as often as one would think. Use logic and it makes sense. A party only needs one pld. Not to mention plds have to compete with super hyped nin tanks. So I think its safe to say that you got a near equal invite rate either way you go.

hope that helps in your desicion

I am serios about nin/drk because when i did this combo i got invites like nothing, with mithkabobs and the spells as a drk subedit is an awsome job combo!

Thief/NIN
Soloing good drops and blink tank at high lvls

Thief/War or BST
Good for NM hunting

Is the Best farming hunter and gil maker from drops. I would go with this combo 1st so once you have a good income and dont need to worry about Gil. You can switch to whatever your hearts desires.

Tanks are usually always needed. PLD has great hate control. Nin has good hate control but better DD and defense as long as shadows are up.

ROFL - That's laughable.... but I digress
_______________

Pld/war will always be needed and generally gets invites quickly...there are times when there will be a glut of these at your lvl and won't get invites though

Thf/nin very versatile job combo that allows you to farm effectively. My only word on this for you is be prepared to make your own parties or wait LFG for long stretches. Thf is overlooked by alot of parties... Keep your head up and show off your skillz and you will get more invites.

Keep in mind that with the upcoming mid-July patch Thf will become a hot commodity for Nin tank parties with the addition of enmity loss on shadow loss.

Hope that helps coming from a 71rng, 59thf

After the update.

Thieves are usually needed more now with Nin tanks. So it not as bad as before. Only thing is affects those over lvl 30 for SATA.

ok....
if there's already a thf, they may want a tank
if there's already a tank, they may want a DD
if there's already a whm, they may want a blm
if there's already a blm, they may want a rdm
if there's already a rdm, they may want another mage

I can keep going like this forever. So wth just play what you want to play. No matter what you choose there will always be other ppl playing the same job as you. So who cares. Play what you like.

Umm

Try this
Lvl Beastmaster to lvl 30 and hit seek and tell me when you get invited.

Then try Dragoon, and lastly Summoner. When you get tired of waiting.

Try this!!!
Lvl White, Nin or Pld to lvl 30

Hit seek and see how long it takes before you get SPAMMED.

Yea~ quite true.
But usually, playing Tanks and mages give you a higher chance of getting a party.

I'm a 58 thf/nin and I love this job I deal some serious damage and I always get the best items. I dont need keys to open coffers or doors and when the going gets tough I flee to and hide 2 exxcelent life savers.n Also with triple attack you can attack up tp 6 times in 1 go with dual wield and not to mention steal and treasure hunter I never have problems finding party cause people know thf can dish it out
