First of all: Mithra Get more mp than Elvaan.

Taru get the most mp.
Then Mithra and Hume are tied.
Then Elvaan.
Then Galka.

Taru take the biggest hit in str.
Elvaan take the biggest hit in dex.

Galka and Elvaan both have low INT (Elvaan do have relatively high mnd, but that will not help you with any of your Drk spells)

So, I'd say Mithra and Humes make the best all around Dark Knights.

Of the two I'd say Mithra is slightly better than Hume, due to their much higher dex. However, Hume does have slightly higher str than Mithra.

in the end STR is important, unlike other races taru get alot of rare/ex items to boost there stats. that puts elvaa n and galka at the top of the charts because accuracy and Easily be made up for -_- natural STR / dmg cant.

STR's effect is pretty minimal on melee damage altogether. Are you one of the melees that wears STR rings?

That's true until endgame (which is where you spend most of your time).

Endgame STR becomes a hell of a lot more important.

Elvaan my vote, Hume is quite nice too.

Souleater + BloodWeapon + Galka in HP gear + Kraken Club > all

Str is important, but MP is nice as well, and Dex is not completely useless as some people seem to be spouting as of late. Critical hits good.

Str gear is also easy to come by.

Therefore, even considering endgame I still stand by the "average" races as best for Drk. Hume or mithra will give you good stats without having to sacrifice your mp pool and critical hit rate to Elvaan.

I've seen many an Elvaan Drk think all they are supposed to do is swing their scythe. Whereas with mithra you have such options as going /rng in the low levels and spamming holy bolts. Having plenty of mp for your Absorb spells. Having a better chance to land an acid bolt in a pinch. That clutch stun spell.

None of this is to say that an Elvaan Drk can't do all these things as well.

Oh on a related note, there's a pretty sweet update coming for Dark, making mp pool an even bigger bonus. mmm Drain 2 (Stronger Drain spell with posibility of giveing you increased max HP) and Dread Spikes (Like other spikes spells but drains health for you)

se made kinda a balance at anyjob so they like all even

even if you take taru and mage job the first thing came at mind is
wow taru is fuking the best mage and yey certainly they got some more mp/int

but whith no hp on god i sometime check parser and sea taru not even overdd our elvan blm . and that simply cuz they got no def no hp
one aoe or one agro and they died and got to rest long time

so sea everithing is realy balanced fine + the player skill make an huge difference.

and when mercy stroke is all str based what mithra lake

so no race superior an other (maybe taru smn cuz they get not much hate).but other way only player skill count
