XUnleashed Unsafe? : FFXI General Discussions

Well i've recently gotten this program for FFXI. I followed your guys' guides to get it to work. I got the map up, and after 10 minutes, I get logged out of POL. WTF? So I get this message, "Your account has been logged in somewhere else." WTF?! So I go change my passwords real quick, then I go to sleep with ff still running. Wake up and I DC, so I log back in and I get another error, "Your account has been temporarily disabled due to repeated incorrect passwords." WTF?!?! So, needless to say I don't think I'll be using this anymore.

I can assure you its not xunleashed. Only 2 people have access to information for people. Tault admin aka me and the xunleashed admin. As well scan it you will see no key loggers or anything. Xunleashed is a 3rd party program it is not made for you to give your other information from it.

Do a simply email to them and tell them your situation. WEll tell pol that your account password doesnt seem to work i wouldnt say xunleashed or they might not help you. Sounds like someone got ahold of your account thru another means.

Also no one can get into database areas of this site as its ip restricted. So only 2 ips can actually enter the spots to see users information from the site. This doesnt even allow us to see your accounts information from ffxi just account information you made for this site.

If I were you I would start looking for the "leak" somewhere else.

Is not that I'm blindly defending XU, is just that I see that the odds of it being responsible of your problem are really really low. Therefore the sooner you "move on" and start looking for other possible causes the closer you will be to the solution.

The second issue you describe leads me to think that the "thief" gained somehow access to your original password but wasn't able to get the changed one.

Scan your computer with several different antiviruses to check for a possible trojan infection.
Did you download any other third party programs lately? A windower that is not Azaril's or from other source than his webpage? Standalone fishing/farming/camping bots? Non POL related programs?
And don't limit yourself to software issues. Did you ever share your POL login/password with anyone? Is your POL login/password unique or you use the same login details in other accounts? (email, forums, subscription sites...) Are they so obvious that someone that knows you could guess them?

Hope you can sort your problem out quickly.

XU has many clients. You are the 1st one to have this problem.

Most likely you have a virus or spyware.

Run a virus scan from NORTON, SYSTEM MECHANIC and PANDA. Download one of their free trials. ((i like System mechanic)). Then run for spyware. I bet you will find something nice.

If that is not the problem one of your so called friends is a snitch or not your friend at all.

If you cant find the problem called SE to freeze the account. Format your computer Buy a good antivirus program install it before connecting to internet and then update. Finally reinstall eveything. Then call SE and tell them to give you a new password.

Finally dont give ur info to anyone. Not even ur mother and find a way to either memorize ur password or put it in a place noone can find it without u finding out like ur wallet.

If you leave ur wallet in ur house that is not a safe place if you have friends that sleep over.

Lastly if it was a virus STOP going to sites that are not trustworthy.

I know of password security. My basic password is fourteen characters long.

XUnleashed sucks !@#$%^&*.. this piece of !@#$%^&* program isn't worth paying for an account on these piece of !@#$%^&* forums.

OMG!!!won!!!!one!! xunleashed took over my pc and made me have hi lvl crafts and alot of gil and also made coffers found and opened and generally made my game alot better. I think its a scam and a virus a trojanworminator all it does is make you advance in game easier and makes things less tedious. /fume how dare you do this to us all.....

I'm just telling you, if you dl'ed that Mr.Argus Unleashed Program. That guy is a scammer you shoulda scanned that program before you used it, it is a Key Logger Program, i'm sorry to here it happend to you tho

Deserved what exactly? Buying a program and reading howtos from admin links then getting my account nearly stolen? I don't see why I'm getting flamed when, from the looks of things, its YOUR software that's flawed, not me.

Well i guess its sorta how you came across. Different if you got banned. But alot of people got angry that you sorta had the acusation that xunleashed logs keys to steal info. Tabo to say. We would never do that as its not good for business.

What I was saying, was it was a strange Coincidence that I used the program, and it happens. Not with any other programs. Wouldn't you get suspicious?
