Okay so I read the
Submissions FAQ, and it clearly states...
(!empty($user->lang['QUOTE'])) ? $user->lang['QUOTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'QUOTE'))):
Do NOT POST SCAMS and call them "exploits", "get money fast", or "how to screw noobs out of theyre moneys". The thread will be locked...
I first took that to mean that Scams are not acceptable Submissions at all, but on re-reading it, I'm not sure if it only means that Scams are fine, so long as you call a spade a spade, and correctly say it is a "scam".
This belief was confirmed when I saw on the UO forums, several submissions of scams, followed by Admin saying "Can premium members say Yay or Nay", like these...
House Scam
Scam on OSI
But now, today, I see
this thread where a moderator replies to a scam submission saying that Tault doesn't do Scams, and requesting lock on the thread.
So, I'm completely confused. Personally I would just go through and say "Nay" to all scams posted for my game, as I am not interested in scamming other people out of their stuff so I can get ahead. However, they aren't my rules, and I don't want to enforce my moral stance on everyone else... so, what's the real story with scams?
