Still no activation key after 11 days... : General Discussion

Ok,

May I have some help please?

I activated my subscription on the 08-APR-2005, dloaded the app and all the relevant bits went to start it and it asked for a registration key - no worries

Looked through all my mail I had received from you guys and paypal (3 items) - nothing

Went to your knowledge base - scrolled down a bit and went through the checklist:
- Yes, I checked paypal and it definately says it has been cleared - I also checked my bank statement which clearly shows you guys got the money
- I do use Hotmail - I do not have any custom spam settings - I did check my trashcan and all other folders several times since first registering
- As a final approach, I clicked your 'Key rovery form' located in the knowledge base - keeps coming up with 'action cancelled' - the link is dead...

Ok....hmmm...I paid for the app and can verify you guys have the money - now I'd like the registration key please

I have been pretty patient - it's been 11 days

in the registration section of the program there is a link u can use to find ur registration info.

click that link and pick one of the 2 options to get ur info. you could have done this the minute u registered :(

Bargain - thankyou joshk for pointing out the link - I honestly didn't see it

May I please offer some constructive suggestions to help other people in the same situation?

- Please fix the 'Key recovery link' in your knowledge base - it was really disheartening to follow all your suggestions - then, when all failed, to hit the link and find it dead - if there is a problem with you guys getting spam or what-not through this link then link it to the page I would get when I hit the link on the registration page of the app (which joshk pointed out) - then I just put in either my email or forum username / pword and all should be fixed

On this point, I filled out the suggested form by first supplying my hotmail account - the page did inform me my details where sent to the account - yet....nuddin...and I have checked a few times since...maybe it is just my hotmail account but there could be some serious clash going on here - I even checked my trashcans and all other folders so somethings not going through

I then filled out the forum / password section and got the details immediating and 10 seconds later my copy of unleashed was registered :)

..and I know, you guys are probably sitting there saying "well heck, the link for registration is in red...this guy blind?' - yep, well, not blind, but didn't see it - perhaps if you had a section in your 'how to install' docos about if all else fails hit the red link? (at least I read those!)

I am having the same problem. I don't mind paying for a service that I want to use but I would like to use it and have at least some amount of cusomer service when there is a problem. I paid for my account through paypal and it shows cleared as of april 13th. I have checked my email and all of its folders and there is nothing there with a registration key. I sent a pm to the admin 2 days ago and still have heard nothing. I tried to send another pm today and all I get when I hit the button is a blank screen. I tried using the link to request my registration key but when I put in my email adress or my forum name and password I get a screen that says error, could not be found. I have checked and according to my profile I am listed as a preimer membership ( a paying user of the site). so why the heck cant I get the registration key or any form of help? all I want is to use what looks to be a great service. could I please get some help with this so I can actually use this.

Even though my registration is now solved - I will have to agree with Vashon - I also sent 2 emails on seperate occasions to the name listed on the paypal receipt - Jeff_Beavers@baylor.edu - if this person is no longer the point of contact then...what's it doing on the paypal receipt as the contact person?

All I can suggest Vashon is to do what the other helpful guys mentioned which is send a pm directly to admin with your details and seeing if you can get some satisfaction that way.

I didn't send e-mails since it says those are not received. I have sent two PM's and have not heard anything back. I am trying to be patient about this but this is getting really annoying.

I think PM's were messed up yesterday. Alot of people were having problems (myself included) trying to retreive PM's. The PM system seems to be working again.
