subscription prices : General Discussion

i ahve been usiing xunleashed for about 2 or 3 years now.... and am i reading this right that the subscription has went from 29.99 a year to 48.00 a year plus a 14.95 one time paymeny fee.... that is freakig crazy!!

29.99 is a fair price.... 39.99 is pushing it... but anythign more is just bs!

i love you tault.. but i must say good by now... ill check back from time to time see if the prices ever get back to a fait price...

It is a fair price and by looking at your post count and the time you joined which is today I say you're bsing your post.

$14.95 - As a one time enrollment/listing fee with $3.95 per month you use the service isn't bs when they're paying people to program the things you're using on your MMOs.

14.95 the first month and every month after that. chances are if you cancel your subscription paypal wont know the difference so it will charge you 14.95 every time you rejoin if you cancel it when you go on a mmo break. so if it goes by that lets say you use TU for 1 year, take a 3 month break then rejoin. TU for 1 year so 14.95 + (3.95 X 11) so 14.95 + 43.45 = $58.40 USD for 1 year. more than double the subscription cost from before. if your going join here again prepare for another 58.40. if you didnt quit thats 3 months where you where paying so $11.85 for 3 months of not using the site.

lets say you didnt go 3 months but longer but you kept the subscription to here because you didnt know when you where going to go back to a mmo but you didnt know when. 6 months later of a join date thats 23.70 of wasted money because you didnt visit the site but again if you quit and rejoined again you waste money.

personally i think there should be a monthly subscription like there is now since some people only play for a bit then quit and hey 14.95 starting every time they do is good money. then there should be a yearly subscription at a cheaper price. it ensures people dont get pissed of no monthly subscription (although they will complain abou the 14.95 part) and then the people who wish to pay yearly get what they want and at a cheaper price because they are giving you the cash for the year upfront.

Maybe it would be better to make it a one-time-only fee on the account? So $15, then $4 a month, with the ability to drop it for a few months with no additional costs? (Introduce an Ex-Premium Member category maybe)

Edit for clarity: what I mean is Member -> Premium Member costs $15 + $4 per month, and when you don't pay the $4 you get moved to Ex-Premium Member, and then can pay $4 again to be Premium for a month etc.

Having said that, it still seems too high. It doesn't really affect me; if I ever want premium I'll submit for it, but still,.

the reason i am using a new free accout is my premium member ship just ran out.. so i came to the site expection to pay anout 30 dollars for the next year... coem to find out it has almost dobbled and turned in to a monthy payment rather than a one time.... i have enough monthy bills and charged i have to watch on my credit card every month... i guess i would even be a little less tweaks if it was a one time payment i guess... i dont use it every day and i kinda play my mmo for a few days.. then wotn log back in for another month some times...

im not bs ing my post.. i have been a member for years.... im not a frugal person.. but man that just seams kinda high IMO... i guess others feel diffrent....

If your premiums ran out you can still use the old account fyi^^.

Didnt know we lived in 2010 lol... and its fair like kag said they are paying people for instance. Keep the site up working. making bots etc. so u cant expect they give it all out for free...

If we didnt have so many stupid leechers it would be easy but they cut into our profits hence we have to raise prices to make the payments for our programmers we have some things planned in the future that should make everyone content.
