Well of course, but how can anyone respond to that without knowing what personal checks the buyer has done to ensure he won't get ripped off. It depends on the person.
Is the seller well-known or are they someone you haven't heard of before? How did you find out about them? Through a mutual friend, through an ad? Have they posted a non-free email address, an ICQ number. Do they have other IM's (such as MSN and Yahoo) they could also be contacted on? Did they tell you who their other characters are? A lot of these things will make the difference between a decision to trust the person... or not
