one mans trash is another mans treasure.
i have an office chair that i bought 2 years back for about $40. its great, but i think i might have to buy a new one, as this one is pretty beat up.
this picture is the closest i could find to my chair: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml04/04218.jpg

That ultimate was one i got as costco for only 200 but it broke eventually they didnt screw a bolt in all the way and when i leaned back snap. It was very comfy and cheap compared to most chairs.

For those of us that spend most of our waking hours behind our computers, the chair is VERY important. It's something my family has been struggling with for years! It's especially important if you have "issues" such as being of "large build" or whatever.
Currently I am using the very minimum I will accept:
Cloth only. I don't want to freeze in the winter or stick to it in the summer. High back. My son got me a soft tubular shaped pillow that works great with a high back chair, for those times where you can lean back and relax while you play or watch a movie. Must swivel so I can get up without falling over. Arms. Good for leaning and a place for the cats to sit on.
Got a very decent chair from Office Max recently. Fits all my specifications and "only" cost $100.
Now that my husband is back to work, I am going to be keeping my eye out for a commercial type executive chair, maybe something like this. I may not be able to find cloth though, as most chairs seem to be leather.
