GW2 First Level 80 Hit : Guild Wars 2 Discussions

Apparently the first level 80 was hit by a player named Surfeuze on the EU servers. He said it was done mainly through crafting in the game. He says no exploits where used but friends helped. I kinda like that the first level 80 was hit by not playing the standard MMO and killing mobs / questing.

WOW really. Does anyone have the follow up link on it. He did a big speech saying he didnt cheat and just had help from friends while crafting.

wow...lol even the dev has done a check on his account and confirm that he didn't cheat his way up

Couldn't find the exact comment but look at the bottom of this page it quotes what the guy form Anet said, Im guessing he used the gathering glitch on some high level rich veins and just crafted a ton.
