Botting for the uber/noober! someone will learn something : Lineage 2 General Discussions

Ok so this article is for anyone that loves the game but not the grind! Im sure everyone will learn something from this or at least get a few ideas! If so feel free to post!

Ok so in my early days (early lvls) I was gun-ho about getting xp I thought Hey! let me get one of my buddies to heal me so I can go fight stuff above and beyond my normal ability! because the higher they are the more experience I will get in return upon there defeat right? YES!!! but what most noobs dont think about is the time it took to defeat that mob...and the resources that went into it. If you have to throw everything you have at a mob with help or not (ie mana, healing potions, ss, etc...) its not worth it! If you have to rest after every 2 kills then your going to grinding for results for a long time! The same applies to botting in my opinion! That is what this article is on botting not leveling! But botting to level hehe confused yet? Read on.

NEXT SECTION IS DUNGEON LOCATIONS FOR NOOBS WHO NEED TO FIND PLACES TO BOT

Ok in the earlier levels say 1-20 there is no lack of places to bot! No one should have trouble finding spots to bot in those levels and infact if you have the weekend off you can go 1-20 without botting in like 5 or less hours. Have plenty of soda on hand and enough adena to buy the best non grade weapon and armor in the game for you class! Ok so good spots to Bot at low level.

Elven Fortress- This is obviously a dungeon located in elf land- Whats great about this dungeon is there are so many frigging static spawns!! sure you will see alota farmers already here but there are alota static spawn you can grab a room and bot there for days I spent a few levels botting Mist Terrors (there lvl 15) in one room and then I moved to camp Kurunak the boss of the dungeon hes a static spawn and has 2 guards beside him that are static spawn too! not a bad lil spot. There level 21-22. If you want there are a few rooms with static orc spawns as well there lvl 10-11.

SODA- the school of the dark arts- located in the dark elven region. Depending on what server your in this can be dangerous as many many chinamen farmers will reside here and not take kindly to you impedeing on there turf! Beware! lol. Ok so obvious spots in soda that are great are the bridge a row of skeletons awsome spot and the spiders at the end there great too! (skeletons lvl 14 spiders lvl 15) Ok another great spot that I hardly see anyone hitting is the set of 6 constantly respawning onyx beasts on either side of the main room! this is an awsome botting spot. A tight group and beasts with great respawn time.

Orc Dungeon- lol orc land of course!- Personally I dont like traveling this far, I actually think its cause I hate orcs, they smell bad. Ok so in the orc dungeon there are a group of undead slaves (lvl 19) that continuasly respawn good lil bot spot. Hey botting in this dungeon is good to go theres hardly ever anyone in here at any given time almost always abandoned. Some people say the quicksilver beasts are good botting spots located on either side of the undead slaves but I dont think so. Ok a good spot in here is the eyes! bot the first room 2 lvl 14 and 2 lvl 10 good xp here becareful though! theres a evil eye lord down here now hes lvl 37!!! hes new and scary doesent fit in with the rest of the dungeon kinda wierd lol.

END DUNGEON SECTION

Ok so that was a few places in the dungeons that are good to bot what about outside? hmmm sounds like more of a challenge doesent it? You have to worry about trees and rocks, etc... obstacles basically huh? Well your absolutely right. Botting ouside is more of a challenge. You have to be more creative and get to know the world more. Still static mobs are a great botting strategy but not always the best once you get over 25 there harder and harder to find! A few good places consist of the passageways on the way to the waistland in the passageways you can find 4 sets of 2 Ol Mahum Captains lvl 25 and they have D grade drops! yummy lol! and also 2 spots of ol mahum deserter and reservist spawns! theres about 6 each in the channel on both spots. great lil place to let you bot run over night! While were on the topic of Ol mahum, near gludio village town heading north to gludio castle on the west side you will cross a pack of ruins inside you will find a pack of constanst spawning Ol mahums good lil spot to bot. In the partisan hideout near dragon valley theres a lil inlit right outside of the main camp, leaving the camp take a left you will see a cottage there Ol mahum Sgts and Captains with double hp and double xp spawn good place to bot there as well Ok so most people have probally hear of these but I figured why not post again.

Ok so one of the big miscunseptions people have with boting is "you gota find a spot with no agro!" bull !@#$%^&* I say to that! Find a spot with plenty of agro! damn if there was a spot with everything agro Id be there! Which brings me to my next subject in botting Lin2rich's path mode.

For those of you over 30 Pathing with lin2rich is a great hunting technique. What you wana do is set your client up as though you normally would except on the mosters tab dont add any mosters to the menu but hit attack this way anything attack you, you will engage. Next creat a path through a know area that has aggro mobs say in a zig zag pattern through the area to collect mobs. The aggro creatures will attack you and you will engage. Ive done this from 31-38 so far. I did this in the waistland with the Basilisk letting them go aggro on me while a ran a path through the waistland and taken em out. Then ending the path where it began only to start over. I covered a large distance and the best thing! its hard to tell your even botting! Ive also done this in SODA in the main room run a small path from one corner to another just 2 corners though you dont want the whole room on yah! Sure you say there low level but look at it this way they aggro on you right! you kill them the sucubus and guards and get 200 to 250exp for each kill say 6-10 kills thats around 12-18 well more Im averaging per round with a constant respawn over less then 20 seconds they just keep comin. Stock up on healing potions and ss for this! So those of you who post what do i do after level 30! Learn to path hunt. Path Hunting can be your new best friend Say it with me im a pathaholic and Im here to get well....wait a min...damn it aa is gettin to me.

SAVING MONEY PATHING AS WELL?
Hell yeah mamajama Take the time to path out all the castles and major hunting areas you visit from gludio! Gludio is there main city for me right now later it may become giran for you but I seem to visit gludio more! So what the hell am I talkin about? make a path to giran! from the east gate. go to the gate instead of teleporting and hit auto on the path in lin2 and select your saved path to giran wam bam your on your way. You just saved 11k! wam bam. Say you were goin there to buy something to resell in gludio! damn you spent 22k teleporting?! is it still worth it? Well if you path it is! hit auto on path to go there buy your goods then hit revers wam your on your way back! and you know what its automated! if you encounter something as long as attack is on you will fight it. What Im sayin is the 30 seconds it takes to load for teleporting while you else where pissin or gettin a soda damn why not let lin2rich run you there in about 2 mins instead I know it takes me about 2 mins to make a soda anyways lol! Ok so I also make paths to the waistland to hunt there and to darkelf village to dion to gludin I have paths everywhere and Im savin lots of loot I used to spend oh yeah dont forget cruma .

God I got lost after that one ummm if I forgot something someone post and tell me lol. Oh yeah! you can actually edit the config.ini file of lin2rich to change and import things such as coordinates and to take off randommove so I will post coordinates from gludio to some places later on Im at work and dont have em with me anyone else feel free to post.
