u need a high level friend for example u 10 level ur friend 30 level make a party and go killling some 25 levels mobs . they are Blue for ur friend and got low exp! but they are Red for u and got more exp that even in fighter + 15% party exping. u can go get from 10 level to 20 in one day =) because ur friend kill them so easy =)

no man xp goes by who gives most damage ive tried that with a buddy didnt work i got all the xp he got almost none  i did way more damage

heh you have to group for this to work obviously if your ungrouped he wont get exp cause your doing more dmg.

You're going to get low XP as well... trust me. When you group the game gives a higher % of XP to higher lvl people. A lvl 10 grouped with a lvl 30 is going to get like 3% of the XP, if that. So unless you have a really generous friend who wants to lvl up for you it's pointless and would take forever... if it even worked.

wich will take you to my PL(power leveling) guide i have post your right you cant group and when you arent grouped the high lvl does not attack to kill hte mob it jsut takes the aggro so the low lvl can kill it well beat on it then kill it

I actually believe that you get the same experiance % according to your level. Like if a level 30 and level 10 group and both were 10% into there level they would turn level 11 and level 31 respectively at the same time. Pretty complex yet good design i like it. Could be wrong but from what i have seen this is how i believe it works.

nope doesnt work like that the high lvl gets the xp its required for that lvl leaving the low lvl with little to none
ok heres something to compare it to DAoC's PL system is the exact opposite except you do group here goes in daoc the high lvl gets less xp then what they should when grouped with someone 6lvls lower while the lower lvl would get red con xp b/c the high lvl is killing mobs that are purple con to the low lvl
no as for lineage the high lvl gets normal xp with a bit taken off and tha bit is for grouping and it goes to the low lvl the high lvl gets his chunk of xp

Could be wrong but from what i have seen this is how i believe it works. allright, I always heard about if there is more than a 5 lvl difference in your group there is an exp penalty and it makes things worse... BUT after grouping often with guildmates with over 5 lvls under me, it seemed we gained exp (in % in our bar) at the exact same rate... Which is pretty weird, and lead me to think that what chumbler said is right. I'll need to test this one out to be sure, since I got a friend starting a noob and he could use some PLing heh

if ur ungrouped its by dmg, if ur grouped and he lvl 30 ur lvl 10 and you guys go kill a mob that normally give the lvl 30 player SOLO 1000 xp then he will get about 900 xp and you get 100 xp

well maybe things have changed for retail ther eis supposed to be a penalty for grouping with 5lvls or more below your own

The way grouping works is this; There is an 7% increase in the total Experience Points per party member.
Then it works based on levels in a equations similar to this two member party example:
Player 1 level 6 (6x6=36) Player 2 level 4 (4x4=16) These totals add up to=52
So player 1 would get 36/52 of the exp and SP and player 2 would get 16/52 of the exp and SP
So this example there is almost a 70-30 split.
But, it takes less exp. pts. to lvl up a lower lvl character;)

until you get to a difference of more than 10 lvls, cuz they inflicted MASSIVE penalties for that, to prevent ppl from PL'ing their friends

ok ok but heres the catch that makes my guide real you guys are all talking a lvl 10+ or 6+ etc. but my guide is for lvl 1 up you cannot group and give xp at lvl 1-5 thats why my guide is good just so happens i kept going with the same method until he was 13 ok there  now it works ty all i guess my brain was dead took me a min to realize why mine was diff
