I read on the homepage before I joined that there was a prophet spear exploit.
After joining, i found out that the link provided on homepage does not exist. I tried scanning through broads but did not see it.
Does such an exploit exist?

root the mob, back up a little bit, equip a spear and start attacking it, the mob can't reach you to hit back.

Root is a brilliant tool, not just for prophets.
The rooted mob will not attack anyone except the person with the most hate while it's rooted.
In a duo: Cleric/oracle/elder/prophet/bishop roots the mob to get first aggro. Next walk up and hit it with the polearm. Unless it's a bow shooting mob, the mob just stands there with a dumb look on its face.
Assassin can walk in behind the mob and MB/backstab etc, or just stand there and go to town on the mob. No one takes damage until finally the melee gets more hate than the root-n-polearmer.
To PL: Root basically converts all mobs in all locations to perfect perch situations where the PLee can beat on it without getting attacked back.
Root the mob and wind shackle or curse weakness or whatever debuff you want that does not do damage. Note: It used to be possible to use poison or other Dots as they didn't count toward exp, but that's been changed so DoTs do steal exp from your PLee. After it's rooted, the PLee goes to work, preferably from behind the mob for better crits and mortal-blow. The mob will be aggroed on the rooter, so it just sits there. Depending on the mob and how quickly you kill it, toward the end the mob's HP, they may switch aggro to the PLee. A heal or a buff will make the mob stop, usually. Buffs generate oodles of hate, so I just keep rotating casting buffs on the PLee and myself if we're having trouble for PLee to kill the mob quickly enough.
Hunting yellows or pinks to the PLee with a decent weapon, my PLee generally doesn't take enough damage to require a heal more than once every 5-6 mobs. My PLee always runs out of mp before I do (if it's spoiling the mobs, or using powerstrike/mortal blow/etc).
You WILL get some comments from people if they see you do this, as it looks like a dirty cheat. It's not a cheat, so you won't get gm warnings or anything, but I've taken to going to out of the way places to do it. The other thing which of course you always get is the people who want you to PL/buff/heal them.
Problem: You can't see PLee's HP unless you're in the same room, or have the HP display hack, which I don't. So you need good communication for "Heal me!" if the PLee's computer is elsewhere.
