If you really must know about Anime history, Walt Disney first introduced the Big Eye / Small Mouth concept with Mickey Mouse and such, the Japanese just perfected it to the luscious anime we see today. Naruto anyone?

Lol, from my understanding of reading the books on Anime, America introduced Disney cartoons to the Japanese after they surrendered during WW2, and well you know how it goes we now have some of the coolest looking animation in the world something batman, and all the regular marvel drawn comics characters can't touch...
