 Video Card : Lineage 2 General Discussions

I was wondering what you guys think would be better to get for upcoming games and lineage2. A radeon 9800 pro 256 or a geforce 5950 256. Right now im using a geforce 4 ti 4600 128 and i lag extremely bad during castle sieges. And in gludio unless i have it on low detail. Will those cards be sufficent enough so that i do not lag in those situations or at all? If not what card should i go with. thank you

the raedon 9800 pro 256 should remedy a lot of of your lagging problems, however, i run l2 on raedon 9800 256 and it still lags in really populated areas.

I have a geforce4 4600 ti, I run with 75 HZ, HIGH detail on everything, I never lag  (cept i turn reflections off cause well it locks me up for some reason)

back up your vid card with a good amount of megs ram good point. i run a readon 9800 pro with 512mb ddr, and it lags every once in a while. get a gig if you can.

well i have 512 now prob gonna get another 512 stick. And Im going to get radeon 9800 pro 256, you think i would lag that much? I have a 3 gig processor with 800 fsb so i dont think thats the problem. I just dont want this massive lag that im getting and its all computer side especially in gludio ouch.

Im prolly gonna get radeon 9800xt, my dads comp has a 9800 pro, its a nice card even tho its huge power source lol.. I have 3.2 ghz and 1g DDR.

if you are trying to decide what card you have to make the right comparison like 9800XT and 5950. if you have the cash wait for a month and buy either a ATI x800 or the Nvidia 6800. these are the new cards that are going to be out and they are TWICE as fast as the top cards out now. come to think of it I think that both the new cards are out already but I personally wont buy either until I get a pci express able mobo(cant wait for duals!!!! ) ATM 9800xt is faster tan 5950. but who knows about the new cards until they hit mainstream conumer market
