WOW vs L2 : Lineage 2 General Discussions

anyone here who has played WOW and L2 please tell me which you think is better, and are they somewhat the same? thanks.

is WOW in closed beta stage still? will there be open?

i never played WoW but then again i never heard anything really good about it i play L2 all the time and i love it its a great game
id go with L2 but then again its not much help being as ive never played WoW friends tell me its nothing special

i dunno... my friend who was OBSESSED with lineage 2 at first said lineage 2 sucked after he played wow close beta... i never played it though. gonna try to play on the crack servers soon =)

L2...imo.

WoW= Over-rated, right now I am neutral to it, I have played every Blizzard game and enjoyed them to the fullest but only time will tell

as far as graphics i dont think WoW looks good.. way to cartoony.. but graphics arent everything.. hell i played Gemstone for 3 years...

ok, i downloaded WoW beta thingy (not really a legal beta...anywaaaayz) i think WoW looks likes u are playing warcraft3 and zoomed in a bunch, in my opinon the graphics are really cartoony, the undead look like flamers, but thats my opinion lol, the beta i downloaded didnt have any monsters to kill, so i just swam really deep in the ocean for awhile, the ocean was prolly the best looking part of the game, besides the emote of a gnome dancing. L2 is better, but not in all aspects, L2 needs to get a better chat, group, raid system together, i was playing Everquest for like a billion years and they have a awesome group,chat,raid system so i was suspecting something better off L2. But for my money (which isnt much) i would go with L2

well if ur obsessed with graphics, go for L2.
but even in close-beta stage, wow has a lot more content

edit: plus i think the cartooney scenario looks quite cool actually. when i play a GAME i want it to look like a GAME
L2 tries to make things too realistic almost...like the running speed, i almost fall asleep just running from places to places

oh i can imagine that..it would be a nightmare for ME at least

move...screen flash black. lag. people jump across screen. computer churning. flash again, and i am lying on the ground dead. flash again, someone has revived me. i move 5 steps, lag again. everything freezes. when it unfreeze i am dead again.

the cycle goes on for a few times and the siege war is probably over lol.


i guess it would be enjoyable for someone with a fast computer though

I've played Wow and Lineage 2 and Wow is pretty much seamless. The theme of the game is not as good as Lineage 2, but the people are definitely better (i.e. no chinese adena farming botters/pkers). The gameplay is very smooth.

I will most likely be moving to WoW when the retail release comes out. This is only because there are a ton of !@#$%^&* that play L2. If L2 had the WoW atmosphere, it be a video game utopia.

There open pvp in it? Like...I dont need to be in a specific zone or in some !@#$%^&* faction to attack a n00b I dont like n wanna pwnzOR?
