Enchanting Statistics Gathering Exploit --- Requires: o +3 or higher item and an enchant scroll of the same class as the item o A friend with a seperate account
Step 1: Go with a friend to an unpopulated area. Step 2: Assign your enchant scroll to a hotkey. Step 3: Set up a shop for the enchant scroll for 1 adena. Do not begin the store yet. Step 4: Hit your hotkey and press the store start message at the same time. Hopefully you should both be selling the item, and have the enchant scroll active (prompting you to select an item to enchant). Step 5: DO NOT BRING YOUR MOUSE CURSOR OUT OF YOUR INVENTORY WINDOW AT ANY TIME. Step 6: Have your friend buy the enchant scroll. Step 7: Enchant the item you wish to collect data on.
Note that this only shows you what would have happened if you truly tried to enchant your item. It does not actually enchant your item. This is for data collection purposes only so that you can be more educated about enchanting. Each time you enchant a piece of equipment it has a chance to succeed or fail. By doing this exploit many times and comparing the success and fail rates you can accurately depict your chances of suceeding or failing your item if you actually do enchant it.

Just because you can see what would of happened that particular time you tried to enchant, how does this help you if you actually try the enchant later? Just because it worked in store mode doesn't guarantee it will work when you actually try it after the initial test. Or does it? If I try this with a friend in store mode...and it does not fry my weapon does that mean I can go ahead and actually perform the enchant in non-store mode safely? What if it fails in store mode? Does that mean the next enchant I actually perform will never work? If possible, please provide more details around this post.

you cannot predict with 100% certainty what your next enchant will be, no.
personally i did it with my brig and at +3 it worked every single time 8 times in a row using fake enchants so I enchanted it to +4 sucessfully. now it fails 70% of the time so I know not to go any higher.
