VG Tricks: Increase Rep to 500 with Faction of Choice : Vanguard Confirmed Guides / Tricks

Alright you know how Martok hates everyone and everyone hates Martok? Well if you have friends in Martok like I do all you need to do is kill Gulgrethor Orcs in the starting area I did the level 1's. Its too easy and you get a regular 1 rep per kill. (Thats how much you get for level 10's too also ><) So I just ran around dotting them and they dropped like flies.

This should work with any race just find the race that you get rep for and kill them as much as you can. I was 11 when I did this.

All I know is Martok was pretty long but easy to get friendly with and now Im doing Gardens with my guild. Good luck with it.

Wel it definityely both works AND is extremely easy to do, but its hardly an exploit, and would barely qualify even as a hint.

After all thats how ou allways grind faction in any game: Go get the easiest mob that gives faction and just grind away until you have the faction you need...

It's a useful hint - as a Kerhasdan (or whatever - cat person) I'm KOS so Khal, so need to grind faction killing the rat people to be accepted in that city.

Hate to be an orc though - everyone hates them.

oh btw you can kill the Harami Wild Men to get XP with them and there are many of them too and its easy its like Gulgrethor for Orcs but I guess so are Ksaravi but if you just want to dot people and watch em die Id go Harami

I'm a kurashasa and got to 500 Khal faction in no time killing the rats and kasvari (sp?) in the cave. I was grouped with 3 others and we split up in the cave - so no matter who killed the npc, I got positive faction....
I believe they have addressed this.... I think in the last patch I saw something about if you are not involved in the kill, you don't get faction...??
can someone confirm?

Even so, I'd recommend the cave to grind in...
and when you need faction to get into Ahgram, and you're lvl 14+, grind at the Taltherian (sp?) "Lizardmen" Village... very fast xp and faction if grouped.

mryuck thats right I tried it after the patch and you dont get xp or rep if your not involved in the kill. I am so glad I got 500 before they changed it to 250 because I wouldnt of had to get 250 of that rep to be neutral but at least with that change now Im friendly with the orcs instead of neutral but those changes still made me a sad panda

They also made it harder to get faction by not giveing faction for one hit kills.

This just means you should break out your dot's or low damage aoe's to get the faction from the super easy low level mobs as those hopefully won't one shot the monsters.
