VG Cheats - Skill Increase Exploit : Vanguard Nerfed Info

redliberation
Greetings all, I\'m writing this thread in regards to the newly released VSoH.

I'm BoudreauX (Hired Moderator/MMO Strategist of another MMO Strategy/Exploit site, I\'m here looking for a new community with VSoH support unlike my previous).

My example of this exploit is as follows:

Bind a spell/ability that not a attack, as in you will not need a selectable target. A Ability on yourself, such as the \"Self Alteration\" Sorceror Spell \"Force Bubble\".

What you will need to do is bind this spell (Or others of this effect, self abilities) to any hotkey, after this, place your character on Auto-Run, now, continue to press the hotkey associated with the skill you wish you level. After every few successful casts, you will be leveling that skill in great succession.

I found this exploit myself, last night. If you need *any* assistance with this, please mail me at: Register to unlock hidden link

Or Xfire: Syrool

-Thank you for your time and I hope you find this as useful as I did, it should be patched very soon as this is a very *basic* launch style exploit.

This brings up a questions someone asked me last night. What benefit does a leveled up alteration skill give you for example, and what's the cap?

This actually does work. so I'll vote /yay.

The skill points actually determine how well your spells work. If you get the 'heal' skills up in the 95, you'll heal more efficiently. I can't remember the names of all the skills, but I was casting the 'gem of life' spell repeatedly, and noticed the points. Casting it on yourself works just fine, or other people, it doesn't seem to matter. It is progressive, so the higher the points the more you have to cast to get more points.

Mouse over the skill points will also tell you what the skill does, and what it will do if you get over xx points.

are you guys kidding me, first of all this is not an exploit, you could do in EQ1 and still can, its teh way it meant to be, the EQ1 even once had a news about it, so that we can bind it and constantly levelskill up, thatshow every ranger leveled his tracking. itsnot an exploit and its definatly not somethign new

I must admit, its not an exploit, more of an uncommon fact.

Exploit is something you do which is not meant to be done, casting spells is meant to be done, doesnt matter who you target and for casting spells you get experience in that skill. Its not an exploit but a common fact, i use to do this in EQ2, i would say its a guide rather than an exploit.

I agree with shadowedge actually, though this was moved through submissions very fast which is unusual, also it got no nays in that time.

It should be a VG Guide rather than a cheat

err... I've levelled abjuration from 22 to 87 before changing a level overnight; hate to be the bearer of bad news, but increasing both conjuration and abjuration skills for sorcerer has no effect on the stats of your shield spell nor ring spell. They remain static (except for the ring, it will increase the intelligence/wisdom modifiers by +1 each time the character actually gains 1 or 2 levels, thus completely unrelated to your skill rating). However, I did notice a moderate increase in the effectiveness of the invisibility spell as my abjuration increased. Also, I waited for the tooltip display to appear when mouse cursor was held over every skill and the tooltip says nothing about strengthening spells, instead it says this, for example: "Evocation is at 90/90, tooltip says that when the skill is at 90/90, it gives me a 95% chance to hit any creature of lv. 9" --Now, keep in mind that this obviously does NOT take into consideration the resists/defense mods of the npc; thus, increasing your skills with everything merely is related to base "to hit" chances. This explains why the invisibility skill works better with a higher abjuration... considering that it went from 22 to 87 today, and the skill increases causes its "to-hit" chance to increase. Thus, sure, I guess you can say it increases the potency of such a spell, but weapon skills and everything else, sorry.
