Vanguard Macros - EZ Crafting Macro : VGExtreme Programs

So I was emailing a mate of mine in Vanguard telling him about my return. After a couple of exchanging of emails he told me how crafting was still as time demanding as always but that his guild have been using EZ macros to make things fastter. Below you'll find the email he sent me. Also I'm posting this in the VGE section incase someone is trying to make a crafting bot in which case this small macro might help.

I think, but it's still the best crafting help I've found, bar none, and there's not another thread for posting which might hopefully add some time to my subscription. My guildmates use it, love it, won't craft without it anymore. If you don't craft, you don't know the tedium of the constant hunt-and-click; if you do, this will help immensely. I came up with it to do Faction Work Orders, which it whips through in about 30 seconds (because you dont have to worry about quality, just quantity/speed), but realized a little tweaking would make it useful for all crafting. The only thing I haven't been able to get it to do is fix complications, as I have not found a /slash command that will work on them, so you'll still have to keep your mouse hand ready for that.

Setup is pretty easy, I use a single toolbar (alt 9), and five or six buttons (more if you need them yet), all are identical in setup except for the /craftingselectaction command, these should correspond to the button number like so:

TITLE: [BUTTON#1]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 1

TITLE: [BUTTON#2]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 2

TITLE: [BUTTON#3]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 3

TITLE: [BUTTON#4]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 4

TITLE: [BUTTON#5]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 5

TITLE: [BUTTON#6]
/lootall
/craftingselectstep 6
/craftingselectstep 5
/craftingselectstep 4
/craftingselectstep 3
/craftingselectstep 2
/craftingselectstep 1
/craftingaddsecondary
/craftingselectaction 6

- The /lootall isn't necessary, but doesn't interfere with anything, plus gathers your crafted item when done.
- The only /craftingselectstep that CAN be done is the next available, so the macro ignores the others.
- The /craftingaddsecondary ensures that you never forget to add your enhancement dust by checking every time. You'll get an error message about not being able to do a crafting action, but having it included doesn't affect the session at all.
- The /craftingselectaction is the key action. The button number should correspond to the action number you want. Then, when you learn a new action for a certain step, it's immediately available to your fingertips.

*** Please note that if you cut/paste into a macro, the macro may or may not work for some reason. If it doesn't, simply enter the commands directly into the macro rather than pasting.

-------end of email-------

Keep in mind I haven't tried it yet so let me know if its any good.

So how are you getting this to work? When I tried it you get an error saying you may only have 2 crafting commands per macro?

I am assuming that the macros are setup in game, are they actually setup in EZ Macro?

I didn't use ezmacro, I just set them up in game and just used buttons 1-6.. Just makes it easy so you don't always have to click stuff.

Not sure how you are doing this... the macro will only take 2 commands per macro...

mine takes all the commands, and I use the 1-6 depending on what order of the crafting section I want to do, eg if I want to clean (Very High) then I click button 2

Type them in by hand, there are <cr> at the end of the posted ones that wont allow them to but cut and pasted into the vanguard macros window. I typed them out by hand and had no problems, if I cut and pasted I woudl get teh only 2 commands crap.

I would like to know what the involvment of the "EZ Macro" program is for this post? I understand setting up the In-game Macro Buttons 1-6. But i don't understand why the OP is telling us to Download EX Macro. is there a Macro you can use With EZ Macro that will do it automatically?

I've never used this macro before and my mate just mentioned the EZ macro program so I guessed that it was needed. You probaly don't need it though.
