I do notice that when I click my final 0 final energy that the name of the song being played still shows as the first one I started, and that I'm not losing energy, but I don't see the effects stacked.
AM I missing something?
If you have the same effect in multiple songs, you won't get the effect multiple times. Here's the basic use for it (not sure what is available to you since I don't know your level) as well as a few exceptions to the no stacking.
Simple example:
Song 1: Max damage components
Song 2: Max haste components
Song 3: Max health regen components
Song 4: Max mana regen components
Song 5: Normal song with target debuff components
When you finish this with Song 5, you'll still have the bonuses from the previous songs as well as all your mob debuff components and the song cost will just be whatever your last song had.
Exceptions to the no-stacking:
1) Pulsing effects - Rune Shields, Damage Shields, invis
Since these pulse on 5 - 7 seconds cycles, having them in multiple songs means they refresh almost instantly. This allows your rune to be up for every combat "round".
2) Cirel's Healing Phrase -- level 25
This song gives *you* 40-70 hp every second. It doesn't function like any of the other healing components, so having this in multiple songs will allow you to get the healing pulse multiple times each tick. If you have this in 15 songs (and none of them "bug out") then you can be healing 600 - 1050 every 4 seconds.
An item of note is that any song component that gives you a boost to stats (including the Melody anthem of war) should not be used in any except the last song in your "set". For some reason the stat boosts will drop immediately upon zoning so you will lose that bonus. If you then play the stat booster again, you will end up getting a NEGATIVE to your stats equal to the boost the song should be giving.
An insanely powerful use for this at higher levels is to have multiple songs that each have a maxxed out version of one of the Gamael's lyrics. You can have up to an 83% (or so) chance for each of 6 different procs.on every melee or ranged hit -- this is SICK!
