It would probably work, however you are taking a big risk in doing this considering you would have to pay to transfer twice. Also, have you touched your expertise yet? because that may play a factor in determining if it works or not.

Yea thought of that after I posted. I tested a new name on my primary with another account and theres an available one that would work so I'm not gonna risk it.

This would prob work cause the expertise gets reset when going ent the first time anyhow.

One last question, where the career path items clicked ok for or were those boxes left up?

Update

Transfered 1 toon, no problem, worked like a charm

Transfered a second toon, used same steps and ended up with a cl5.

Seems to be luck of the draw... a 30 dollar gamble on getting a lvl90 for 2 hrs worth of work.

Totally agree. Just wanted to add my input for any nonbelievers of anyone that got screwed on their first attempt.

It is an expensive gamble (or gets that way) but considering the amount of time it saves.... well worth it IMHO.

My last post on this:

Characters successfully transfered and respecced to 90: 2
Characters successfully transfered and respecced to 15: 1
Characters successfully transfered and respecced to 5: 1

Summary of test (both mine and others compiled):
If you have to force a name change, cancel, it wont work

If you assign expertise points before the transfer or after the transfer but before respec, it wont work

If you shuttle from Bestine to Eisly, it wont work

If you try and connect too soon before the transfer is complete (and it hangs up at connecting) it wont work

If you wait 15 minutes after recieving the process complete confirmation e-mail, it should work

If you loose connection after the transfer but before the respec, it probably wont work (I believe relogging fixes the bug)

If you accept your veteran reward yacht, it might not work

There may be a few more factors that I didnt see (reading) or experience (transfering) but this should answer any questions someone trying this out for the first time might have.

Keep in mind, even if you done of the above, it is still a 30 dollar gamble. It might not work for you just because it didnt produce the bug.

Another thing Ive heard of, after the transfer, if you respec to lvl 15, try going back to entertainer and then try one more time. It will either replace you to 15 or will give you 90.

Good luck. This bug does work when its present.

****EDIT****
One additional note: when you log onto your new server, press alt instead of escaping out of the pop up windows. When you speak to the respec NPC, rotate your camera around the windows and do your respec. Do not touch the pop ups at all. I did that on my first success (1st try) and my 2nd success (4th try). I believe that clicking those windows or hiting escape bugs the bug into not working.

The character transfer keeps giving me an error 'You must have a valid subscription in good standing to access the Character Transfer System', even though my account is active and paid. Its either just broken or they have brought it down.

Its not down, You may have to give it a few days or so for the sub or something i have no idea on that one like i told you when you asked me ingame. But Just give it a little cuz im pretty shure the transfer sevice isnt down.

I got it to work the first time.

However the second time I got a error saying they did not charge me for the transfer. I now have a toon on both bloodfin and the other server with the same names. It is asking me to pick my profession. Anyone else get this error?
