SWG Guide: Grinding/powerleveling : Star Wars Galaxies Nerfed Info

I recently ordered powerleveling and in this post I'll explain how they grinded my toon from level 24-26 in 3 1/2 minutes. Will update post with good explanation how to do it soon. This pic speak volumes on how to do it.

Ok, I spied on the powerlevelers to gain their secrets :p
They used 2 toons (1 to grind, 1 level 90 to pull npcs). They got a full group with at least 1 level 90 toon and got Janta missions from Dantooine Mining Outpost. They always used xp ent buffs. They dropped the harvester down 140-150m from mission camp. The grind toon had an afk macro spamming aoe attacks. They also used nickel plated target pistol for aoe attacks at times. The level 90 toon would pull all the npcs to the harvester, the grind toon would steal agro with aoe attacks and kill the Janta with out ever taking damage! Be careful when pulling to not drag agro behind the harvester your grind toon will die fast. Even the power levelers did this a few times lol. I noticed they were also kind about using a loot macro they made me about 600k. I am not certain how they macro'd the targeting. I guess maybe /cycleTargetOutward every once in awhile. Any questions post here. I watched them for a long time I think I could grind to level 90 in 2-3 days this way because they were afk 60% of the day or more and got level 90 in 5 days. Side note: try to take missions away from player cities to avoid be spotted as exploiting. Enjoy grinding fast without doing lame legacy quests. Probably, good to start questing Kashyyk/Mustafar around level 80's to get good buff items etc.

So what happens on this do the Janta or whatever the Grinder is pulling get stuck on the Harvester? Then The Other Guy Shoots Them

Grouping low levels with a high level they wont get the xp. They would need to leave the 90 out of the group id imagine.

Yes I guess I should have made that a little more clear. After you get the mission the toon that is grinding needs to disband unless you want to grind another toon around the same level at the same time. The high level toon pulls the Jantas. This toon can either try to walk around the harvester, this might bring Jantas with him/her, or tank until the low level toon takes the agro. Also, you notice the placement of the xp-38, they were very careful to place it in this way each time they were grinding. Perhaps it extends the plane that stops the npcs from reaching you.

Basically yes. The janta all are melee. The harvester keeps them more than 5 m away so they can't hit you. Any toon with aoe damage over 10m range should work.

Well this is pretty simple. Can be done with one toon too. Just set up a harvester get the missions. Shoot the janta behind the Harvester and they usualy get stuck and cant hit you. Easy grinding and most ofthe time saves low lvls from dieng. Did it with my lvl 51 alt and got him to 56 in no time.

Its funny, but the devs had fixed that a while back before the NGE. I use to grind combat xp using harvs. They fixed it to where the creatures would go around the harv. Looks like it got unfixed with the NGE..lol

I am not sure if its possible to start at level 5. But commando is probably the best profession to do this with. I think you need at least level 10 or so because you need aoe attacks to do this. I'll update this shortly to include so attacks and levels for commando specials.

Update: commando gets aoe attack stun grenade at level 4 so it may be possible to start leveling this way at level 5. Other aoe attacks and the cl requirements to use- sweeping fire level 7, stun grenade 2 level 14, sweeping fire 2 level 18; shock grenade (from expertise) i think soonest you can get that is 34; frag grenade level 38; mine 1 level 46; cryoban grenade level 50.

Since most of the aoe damage is coming from mines and grenades your ranged weapon stats won't make much difference. If you loot the npcs you kill you should loot a rifle to use but it will be high level to equip and won't really matter at the levels 80-90 while grinding. If you are really worried about getting a good rifle it will make the biggest difference between levels 5-34. To get those you would probably have to loot different mobs that are like level 15,22, 30s. I really doubt its worth the time though.
