When I start up exhume it seems to start although i get no indication of anything actually starting... no login or anything it just starts and thats it.

So when i go to try to get VGE to run it says that it has encountered a problem and needs to close the second i try to start it. Any ideas?

I have VG running in windowed mode. I have the .net framework and the windows debugger. Im running windows xp media center. um... i dunno. I dont know where I need to go to register my exhume or anything. Perhaps once I do that I may be able to get a bit further. I've read around and havent seen anything on how to get past my problem though.

ive messed with it for a while.... I got VGE to run but it pops up with an error saying:

ERROR: windows script debugger is required. click ok to continue
i click ok and get the same error again while i get a internet page with a bunch of stuff but no debugger on it

after the second time of getting that error I then get

Falied to register Exhumehelper.dll
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Try to run exhume to get a full error message.

Then after this error I get VGExtreme has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Now I had downloaded and have in the same directory as Exhume and VGextreme the debugging tools for windows. SO I know I have the debugging tools but for some reason the program isnt finding them or something. This is all becoming a bit frustrating
I do not really understand what I need to do here. Please help.

I finally got the program to recognize the script debugger and got exhume up and running correctly. Logged into exhume and have it running fine but when i go to start VGextreme I immediatly get that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I'm able to load the crafting script into exhume but I am not sure how to get it to actually work

Register the helper dll's. If you are in vista, be sure you have a admin command prompt to register the dll's.

nalexia, sometimes it doesnt register the dll's.

You open a command prompt.. (if running vista, run a admin command prompt).

Navigate to the dll's and run RegSvr32.exe. There is a thread by strombomeeks that talks about how to do it in detail.

You dont start exhume, you start VGExtreme. Perhaps that is the error?

i have it working now... I believe it was the regsvr32 thing. Once i opened a command prompt and did regsvr and clicked and dragged the exhumehelper.dll to the cmd prompt it registered the dll same with vgextremehelper.dll. Then i just did the delete everything except exhume and the VGE updater ran the updater again regot the files for vgextreme and now it finally works. Now im working on trying to get a craftbot to run
