I'm about at my wit's end for this. First I got a systemoutofmemory exception. Followed the instructions and got that fixed. Now when I load vgextreme, I can log in fine and the files say they load but when I hit F5 to run, it just sits there doing nothing.
Done a search on this problem and only found this.
http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpbb2/ab ... blems.html
To troubleshoot I've tried just using the regular exhume interface to run a simple non-game based script and I get the send error report to Microsoft box. Done a search on this as well and came across this
http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpbb2/vi ... Dialog_box
also came across something similar I recall with ati tools(I'm not running) Don't have the link cause I came across it yesterday in about my 2nd hour of searching.
My .net has been unloaded and reloaded several time. I've loaded up .net 3.0 and even 3.5 beta 2 with no results. I've registered the .dll's. And yes I've restarted multiple times.
I'm pumped about this program I'm willing to try whatever to get this working. I'm running XP Media Edition 2002.

Make sure you register the dll's using the with a command prompt that has administration privledges.

I did it before, but redid it to be safe. Got two messages saying dll loaded successfully.
VgExtreme still sits there looking at me. In the box at the bottom Load file VGExtreme.vbs is highlighted and the very bottom status says Ready(Visual Basic Script)
Exhume will still start up then crash to a dialog box whenever I hit the F5 to run the script.

make sure your command prompt says "Administrator" at the top of it. If it doesnt, you are not running a command prompt from administrator mode.
If you get VGextreme running, and you loaded a script, you have to run the script. Click on Debug->Run.

that sounds like the Windows Vista cmd prompt. I'm running XP.
But just to be on the safe side, I went and found the cmd.exe, right clicked it and ran as Administrator. Reregistered the files and still had the same problems as before. I've tried to start the scripts with F5, Cntl-F5 and Debug-Start as well as Debug-Start without debugging. No luck

At first I ran exhume from the same directory. Upon my numerous problem solving efforts, I moved vgextreme into a child directory. None of that worked. I will try installing it all into the same directory again later on this evening.
Is there a log or something written so I can see at what point exhume blows up? Or any kind of windows program or anything that can help me determine why it might be blowing up?

When you run exhume, it should give some kind of an error or description.
The only errors that I have seen with VG have been because the exhume.dll was never registered.
You might also try installing the windows script debugger (found in the exhume download thread).

I installed the script debugger as per the instructions.
The exhume loads up fine and when I go to run the hello world test script with the untitled document(or any script for that matter) and hit the start or F5 or however I start, I get the This program has performed an illegal operation and must shut down, do you wish to send this information to Microsoft etc....

That really sounds like the script debugger needs to be installed/reinstalled.
Or possibly reinstall the VBScript Sp6 or whatever is the latest version.

I reinstalled the microsoft Script debugger and still get the same error. What was the other one you were speaking of? Visual Basic Service Pack 6?
Also upon further searching, I found this guy with the same problem. Do you know how he fixed his?

Im Having the same problem as this guy above.
I'm new to the website.
I havnt tried registering any dll's or anything as complicated.
I did get the Microsoft Error send or dont send message he spoke off.
To begin - I had AVG installed and couldnt download it was confusing some code with a trojan. - I did have to unistall this program just to dowload the file and run it which I dont understand.
Anyhow I gave up reinstalled AVG and thought, what a shame considering vgextreme was what lead me to joining Taunt. I hate clicking all the time in these games.......
Again Ive returned to search the forums for similair problems, looks like I found it. Like I said Im a newbie. Im considering chasing this guy up.
You guys seemed interested in his problem, Im interested in trying vgextreme, maybe we can help each other.....
Heres what I suggest I do -
Unistall AVG
Re-Download Exhume and vgextreme.
Extract Exhume into a Folder .
Delete that helper dll.
Then Extract that vgextreme into the same folder.
- Is this all I really have to do. Besides windows debugger and updates?
