The folks over at blizzard have once again taken another step to help keep peoples account safe from problems going on with hackers. Unless you are new to the gaming scene there is a good chance you have gotten at least one world of warcraft fake email scam trying to get your account information. Well blizzard tried to fix that with authenticators via a usb device and a telephone. However players have still seemed to have problems. So blizzard have upped the anti.
This time around blizzard has a new page that is devoted to just keeping your accounts safe. It goes over things which are somewhat common in terms of never giving out account information, avoid emails cams, and don't give out your account info to gold / power leveling sites. However blizzard also has some nice features in there helping players by showing them extra ways to protect themselves. Such as good anti virus / spy-ware programs you can install, how to get an authenticator, and ways to make sure your computer is up to date. One of the biggest things people forget to do is make sure your browser has a phishing filter on to make sure you are never being sent to a site that might steal your account. For the whole post on the account security check out the link below.
