Excuse me but at the end of the day its just run for 5 hours fine but then broke down for no reason. The system was not even touched, and it has to be started 2-4 times for it to work.

If it was as you say it would NEVER work, not do a hundred + cycles and then !@#$%^&* up as it has done twice now at random points. I've tried it around 30 times but only twice has it worked but even then it breaks down after a few hours.

And again,
If you can not get past the beginning setup then your pixel checking is way off.
MAKE SURE you have graphics set for performnace.

1. Right click My Computer
2. Click properties
3 Click advanced tab
4 Click settings for the performance option
5.Click adjust fpr best performance
6. All this assumes default settings as found after a fresh install of XP. No extra menu bars, etc.
7. Macro has been tested on Windows 2000,XP Home and Pro, Windows server 2003.
If anyone has tried this by some chance on Win98 and verified operation let us know.

Read the 1st 100 or so lines of the macro code itself.
Still have problems post back with system specs and log of failed macro attempt.

I have everything set up correctly. Consider its worked for hours on end a few times, and totally failes the rest of the time on the exact same config etc I have to say that this macro is just to complex for its own good. A few times it actually crashed MS, looks like yet another failed EVE macro :(

Ok I will post my log file and the code snipit from the log file where it has the problem. Its calling the sub Crash_Detect right after opening the people and places now im not sure why I have never done scripting for marco's or any type of pixel shading but I have programing experiance in Vb and C++ so if i was givin a idea on why its doing this I can fix my problem. Grapich settings were set to perfomance and all correct restolontis were selected. I also ran this on 2 other computers with the same problem. Does anyone have a older version that I could try
There is the code from where it opens people and places and then goes to the crash detect sub. Any help would be aperacited. Code removed to to page size please see log file :)

Thanks for that, we dont have modorator controll of this thread so
if you can post as 2 log files as attachment rather than large text posts.
helps keep the forum size down.

Lloyds

For as you say a so called Failed eve macro Lloyds its working good for me, 10hours+ never crashes and allways works first time everytime.

What you need to understand that pixels in this game interface changes depending on lighting, so a lot of the setting are of ranges. becuase the values that it is detecting will change depending on a number of factors. like lighting position of the sun etc etc. If your video card is outputing diffrent colours on some of those ranges, then it may well work sometimes and not others. becuase sometimes it will be in range that is the default and somtimes not. Also game lag and computer power make a large diffrance.

Without seeing what pixel colours your system is displaying at the points listed in the prevous post. We won't be able to help you.

Unless we know how it is diffrent for you, we won't be able to advise what ajustments need to be made to make it work.

Posting a log file will tell us what colours are on the locations to be detected, but it won't tell us what is at that point. We need more data to work with

For example using the Loupe program to get what x,y pos and colours the top and bottom of the ( on warping are . also the menu x,y on clicking as per the prevous post. if you go get this data and post it here, we can tell if your game menus and pixel colour are the same as a working system.

Without these facts to work on, progress can not be made.
Read Page 9 on this thread and post your results.

Stateing that the macro does not work or is too complex is not a method that will get it to work for you. or one that will enable us to help you make it work either.

your choice,

Firelord

ok download the following program and turn on the croshair target to get the pixels http://www.gregorybraun.com/

put on x4 mag, also use the marco debug cord location to get pixel colour as loope give values in hex (not helpfull)

star the macro and let it log you in setup everthing, and then stop it to get the readings

(taken from page 9) Copyed from upallnite and my posts.

when warping

values for the four pixels for warp detect. That's the main game environment, and it's centrally located on the screen. It should give me an x and y offset for the game environment, no matter how much of the edges are cut off, or under the frame...It's the tip top and tip bottom of the characters "(" and ")" of "(WARPING)" in the SHIP CONSOLE...The pixels that are actually above and below any pixels in the letters themselves...(Screen Loupe)

those warping position should be the following positions
623,875 100% Correct
623,881 100% Correct
658,875 100% Correct
658,881 100% Correct

clicking on the following screen position from a belt

Dock to station clicking on 250,367 (where you click to get menu)
Top of the Left side of the W on the left hand side:271,375
Middle of the Triangle:428,391

from outside station

Warp to Belt Clicking on position 250,385
Top of the Left side of the W on the left hand side:271,407
Middle of the Triangle:432,409

the Triangle on this menu is definded as the middle listed below

the place we want is marked with a X

The pixel I was looking for in WarpTo Button was The Middle One at 16777215:

G
OG
OOG
OXOG
OOG
OG
G

O-Bright White(> 16 Mill)
G-Greyish(9-10 Mill)
X-16777215

this should give us a idea if your menu positions are out or not and also what your colour output it like compared to a working system.

Firelord

****UPDATED****

Guys if you run the scipt attached it will make a text file called cords.txt in your c:\ it should look the same as below if things are correct
Let the MAX-Cote Miner script log you on then stop it and run this one.

Macro to Check your window position.

Correct output

Top Left X :128
Top Left Y :128
Top Right X :1157
Top Right Y :128
Bottom Left X :128
Bottom Left Y :920
Bottom Right X :1157
Bottom Right Y :920

Note: If you get the below output the macro has not been able to detect your window position, either it is serously out or you video card is giving you very diffrent pixel colours for your borders. You Need to check by hand in that case.

default time out output

Top Left X :130
Top Left Y :130
Top Right X :1150
Top Right Y :130
Bottom Left X :130
Bottom Left Y :911
Bottom Right X :1150
Bottom Right Y :130

I have read all the posts that pertain to this macro, and have no ideas on what to check for. Its not lag, i am on a cable connection and never see lag with the eve server. My system is running a ati 9800 pro video card so i highly doubt its having a problem there. Im sure it just needs tweaked a little but im not sure how to go about doing that, thats why i posted a log for some help.

This thread is very hard to read for some reason, perhaps you can list the info you require (logs already posted on 3 failed attempts) Strange thing, I was never logging when it actually worked for 5 + hours.

New thread time?

Okay well i messed with it a little while i figured out the Y cord were off 10 pixels when it was in the settings screen reducing the colors to '0', i managed to fix it and line it up good, now my next problem.

It gets past the settings now and actually logs my character on, gets to the station and closes the chat dialog, then clicks P&P to open it up, from there it hits the escape key and quits the game, anyone have some more ideas or whatever i can tweak or check?

Thanks

The question is why are you 10 pixels out? Last time we checked that only happens if the eve window top bar is too wide, due to performance settings being standard XP instead of performance.
But just for grins, if you examine lines 136,137 of code you will find vX and vY correction variables, Making vY=10 may solve your issue.

Follow Firelord advise, chek your pixel location.
PnP causes game exit due to no evidence of it being open, which means your pixel check is still off and will be thru out the game till you find why your 10 pixels out.

upallnite, this does nto explain why it works for up to 5-6 hours doing countless runs in a Bantam without failing then just stopping for no reason. If it was not going to work (if the macro is exact) then it would never work at all. Yet 2 times its mined for hours in a bantam recovering 120,000 + units of Veldspar.

Sadly, both times its worked logging was not enabled. At all times the system is left to its own devices, setup is correct.

BTW, The previous log you mention where it selected show info was done with an incorrect bookmark.

I'll try get a log of it working for 5 hours....
