I would be happy to help, but I can't play the game.
Guess I'll have to wait until Nov 8th to help you find things.

I just got in! Only a week left, but it's still cool to try it out.
Apparently I won a contest somewhere, but have no idea which one.

If you need any help, just let me know.
I was one of the original scripters (script_boy) and created the SWG script that crafted so fast you needed 7 crafting tools - it also handled all critical failures and dialog messages that might have occured.
And yes, I'll be playing EQ2.

I went and picked up the game yesterday and starting playing last night. I spent about two hours messing around with crafting (I didn't know a single thing about it when I started) and I could easily see crafting items with the same technique I used in my SWG script. If nothing else catches my attention tonight, I'll mess around with writing my first script.
BTW, I didn't see an EQ2 specific game in the XUnleashed options. Do you use a generic one, or just use a modified EQ one?

You have to modify it, and scripts are bugged from withing game ATM. You'll see what I mean. I PM'd admin about it.

Can you post your SWG script to the downloads?

I just added it to the SWG downloads. I also put a link to the original post as there's a little more info in there as how the script worked.

I'm in EQII now - so EQMegaBot will start to be built!
I might focus on taking my many routines and focusing them on intelligent crafting - will have to see how easy it will be.

I'd like to help in any way I can as well. Its been a while since I used xunleashed (DAoC days) but I just started EQ2 and this is the first place I came and glad I did. Lots of good stuff here and I can only see it getting better.
EDIT: I also happen to be on Guk which is cool, hope to see you guys there.

Regarding your statement of linked mobs, for example running into a den of 1000 mobs and only getting the linked, thats not 100% true.
If they are non agro, then yes, however, in a den of 1000 agro mobs, if you go in there and are in the agro range of more then one linked group, then you will get those linked parties.
So for example if in that den you send your pet to mob x, and it also is within mob y and mob z's agro range, you will train yourself with x, y, and z's linked mobs
