Hey rich, great job on the whole thing so far.
just a question, is it functional enough to say, fight a mob named X for Y amount of times using attacks 1-9, and when its done, wait for your health to come back? in other words, can i set my monk to just fight a bunch solo sea turtles in EL without dying?

Rich, two more things I noticed. ResponseSequenceSTR, anything I have set in there will not activate until the bot is given another command. So lets say i tell it to sow me, it doesnt respond until I tell it something else. Then it will proceed to cast the sow and do the next command i told it to.

Also the bot keeps on crashing after 15 mins or so, no error's in log detected, just at random points. If you want me to post logs or anything i will. Logs don't help me much on finding the problem though.

I had the same problem I'm pretty sure that it only works on 0-9 atm. It would be nice to get those 2 extra keys in there. What I have done to work around that. Is I've setup qb1-4 in a very specific way to accomdate the bot. Then I use qb5-9 when I play without the bot.

Rich- NONE did work every now and then. Seems like the 1st time it wears off the bot will recast but not after unless I engage another target. I'm going to work on setting up a combat response for when DoT's wear off too and see how that works too.

Thanks for the sugestion and can't wait for 2.2 to come out :)

EDIT: DoT recasts are pretty cool too!


Keep in mind, if you put something in Combat Response, it will only respond to it if the bot is in combat, which is when you ask them to assist you. If you want the bot to respond to the message anytime, use the regular Response Strings which are always active.

Goat - wait a week or so, the full Hunting bot functionality is almost ready and will do exactly this. In fact, you can put 2 bot together, 1 tank, 1 heal and they are a pretty cool team. Neat to watch.

I've been focuing on the BuffBot first, then HuntBot, then will add Wyv's Harvest logic into it to make a harvest bot that will fight back if attacked.

On the Response strings, send me a log, will help me see what is going on - never seen this before.

As far as crashing, not sure, I've run it for over 8 hrs with no issues...

I am fairly new to XU and I am having issues getting the script to run.
I installed eqservice plugin and that went well. But when i try to execute the EQ2MegaBot script it says 1 script running press F12 to cancel but i dont see it doing anything in the grey window unless i click "use compatibility mode" then I see the script calling different modules and 2 other windows come up in the top right corner, then after about 5 secs the windows says all scripts stoped? Is the grey window supposed to close or do i need to close it once it is running? so my question is do I need to do something special with the XU options? I already have the packket sniffer unchecked. and the bot doesnt respond to any commands: here is the log.

With this new update I can't run the bot at all anymore and the log isn't helping. Right after it considers the first person in the party it crashes.

Well after reading your post and examining what is happening to me... I would guess that my problem also has to do with the patch. Anyone found a fix yeat? I would love to give this a try!

For everyone having problems with script - seems Sony changed the memory locations for the EQ2Service functions, which was returning a 0 valud for MaxHealth, causing a divide by 0 error in the script. While I will have this resolved to not crash the script in the next version, the script isn't as useful w/o reading the Health/Power bars. I will post a quick fix for it to the v2.2 thread for anyone wanting to work with it crippled as it is.

Once WyvernX fixed the EQ2Service, it will work again.
