Funny how after this post the prices went down about 200k.

It is a rare drop so it will still at least stay high since you need to have lvl 75 to kill the mob solo. Its not easy getting LVL 75 it is allot of work to actually be able to get this in the market.

I think there is a minimum fishing lv to cath Mantas. I tried this with 75/37 NIN/WAR and 75/37 THF/NIN. I have .2 Fishing lv o.o We never got one. Only Crabs and Pugs. ><

It's pure random i think. Rumor to pop every 30 mins.

30 mins is not a Rumor. People will actaully get mad at you if you try to fish this at the right time. Its a 30 min repop cycle. Don't believe me try it at odd hours when noone is fishing it. You get it. You try 30 min and get nothing as soon as the 30 min are up you get the it withing 10 tries. I have seen this personally about 15 times.

But you dont have to take my word for it.

My friend told me, so i don't really know if it's true.

It is not a Rumor.

The 30 min wait is A Fact! Once someone catches it you have to wait 30 min before you will get it again.

Warning in people will try MPK! To steal your catch!

Um... yes it is a rumor. I fished up 3 devils in about 45min.

Few additions:

Drop rate is really purely random, i went 3/3 then went 1/15 after that.
drop is 600k on my server at the moment, but they sell pretty fast. The only reason they dropped in price is because they are used for cursed gear, and once everyone has it, no one really needs the cursed gear while their waiting for the abjurations.

30 mins is a rumor you can catch these back to back every 5 mins or none for hours, this is not an NM or semi NM it is a monster that is fished up that is all, caught 2 of these in 15 mins this weekend

I try to verify this in my server.

So far I have seen the 30 min apply I'll see if what you 2 say its true. So far I am stick to the 30 min repop.

Update:

From a few friends and fellow campers, I have gathered this.

Devil Mantas have a 20min recycle.
Only one can be fished up, i.e., if you fish one up, the person fishing next to you can't.

I fished 2 of them... back to back last night then I did not fish up any for the last 40 or so minutes I was there. There is no timer from what I have ever seen. Its just like fishing, sometimes you are lucky and sometimes not.

dont know where some of you guys are geting your facts but me my dad and my borther have all pulled one up at the same time iv got 21 fishing my dads got 98 and my bros got 7 also there is no recycle timer that just bs if you dont know for sure then dont make crap up quickist iv pulled them back to back is 2min btw i died when we pulled up the 3 >< whm cant solo one and the drop rate on these SUCK!
i have yet to get one my brother has and so has my dad but i have yet to get one .

from what i can see TH1+2 doesnt really help its just sher luck.

Really? i think the "Theory" we said here were derived by hundreds of people...
No one actually knows what's the repop timing, but it is a gauge like 30 mins repop.

I think someone is bitter.

Nm drops have always sucked from what i have seen.

I'm not 100% sure but i believe you can also fish these up in Cape Terrigan near the southern entrance to the Valley of sorrows.
